hey hun,
Congrats on all the exercise....you are doing soooo awesome!!!! Who cares what the scale says....maybe you are gaining a lot of muscle!
Still have that cold? It seems like forever you've been sick. did you get an antibiotic?
Hope everything is great....keep up the good work!

Rena

Hey ladies, yes I am STILL congested. Arg. But less so than before. I have stopped taking meds for it, as I do not want to continue retaining water. Instead I am going natural and hanging my head over a pan of steam for 15 minutes twice a day. It is working...slowly. I did have Zithromax for a sinus infection, it got rid of the infestion but the fluid remianed, only clear rather than green. Ah, well. I was down on the scale today. Pray it stays that way!

I am off to the gym to lift and do cardio. Later!

Thanks...me too!

I went to the gym and did 5 minute warm up on the evil arc trainer, 10 minutes stretching, 10 minutes abs, 25 minutes weight lifting and 15 minutes on the elliptical. All in all, 65 minutes.

My only complaint is the True Striders were both taken, so I could not use one. Those things are GREAT!

HI there!
You have an AMAZING husband, good for you--you deserve it :D

I'm sorry about the PCSC or whatever it's called, what a bummer! I'm ignorant about that, sorry!

But looks like you have a ton of support from your dietitian and hubby, right on!! Have a great night!

Thanks for stopping by, Val!

I do have an amazing husband. I would not trade him for anything. He is my support and rock. I honestly cannot say enough about how great he really is. Okay, enough boasting about the perfect guy...

PCOS is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is an endocrine system dysfunction that affects fertility, among a host of other things. One key symptom is gaining excessive weight and having a lot of trouble getting it off. It is definately a bummer. I am coping with it, though. What can you do except everything you can to get as healthy as possible?

What a challenge! I'm sorry :( But hey--you seem happy and you have a great support network--do you have a great family, too? And yes, GET as healthy as possible, looks like you're doing a great job :)

I have a great mom and grandparents. My dad and step mom are much better than they used to be. I have a wonderful set of friends that function as extended family.

Way to work it at the gym--even though you're sick.

I want a great husband!! lol Does yours have an older brother? hehe

Hm...cloning him...Could I have a second one to pull out when he works overnight? I hate sleeping alone...

In other news, I went to the gym and did 60 minutes on the True Stride, logging 7.2 miles. The calorie counter said I burned 687 calories, which sounds REALLY high. How accurate do you think those counters are? It is based on heartrate, right? Ah, well, either way I did a lot of exercise. I have worked out every night except one in the last week. I also stopped taking decongestant in case that was the problem. I BETTER lose something this week. My scale shows me at a loss from last week but not a loss from my previous low, which is what I really want.

I just want to say I got more rep off my X-rated poem for you than any serious, heartfelt or helpful thing I have ever posted!
Hey... I've repped you for "heartfelt posts" as well! And yah... sorry, I can't help it if this forum's full of perverts, honey. haha If anything, it definitely made me smile and laugh, which I'm sure it did to the others.

Holy crap! How can you do that? 60 mins on the same machine? Damn... now that's some determination right there, girl. I swear, my ass starts getting bored after 30 mins on a machine... and that's with a 5 minute warm up. LMAO! As for the counters.... does it ask for your weight? There are a few that just base the calories burned on an "average american" who weighs, I believe, 150 lbs. I see it this way... as long as you're exerting yourself and you're feeling it, then it's a caloric deficit. You'll get to that previous low weight, honey. Keep making that True Stride your bitch.

I know I've been repped for heartfelt posts, just never this many people repping me for the same post before. I found it amusing!

It does ask for your weight, and I answer it truthfully, even when the skinny bitch on the machine next to me is watching to see what I weigh. I do get bored afater about 40 minutes, but I just keep going, since I can go faster and push harder on that machine than any other due to the super low impact on the joints. The foot holder places are some kind of high density foam that absorbs impact, like the tempur pedic beds. I feel virtually no strain on knees or ankles on this thing, letting me go much faster than on a treadmill, where I average a mile in 20 min. Anyway, I take headphones to watch tv, listen to Mp3s and I also take a magazine. Then, I just do it, whether I want to or not.

Calories for today are 1645. I was within range every day of the challenge! Woohoo!! I also met the exercise challenge this week. I feel good about the vegetable challenge and the thankful challenge should be a breeze. Loving this challenge!!

I am going to keep logging my calories for the next couple weeks, decreasing a bit each week until I find the range I start losing in, as this is apparently not it.

Well, no 2 pts for weight loss in the challenge today, as I am only down .2 lbs from last week. But since I had gone up almost 4 lbs from last week to tuesday or wednesday, then started going back down, I am just happy I did lose SOMETHING and did not have to post a huge gain!! So no +2, but no -2 either...just 0.

Which brings a question. On the challenge, are points awarded from being down from start, or down from previous week? Like, if I went up 2 lbs the first week and only down 1 the next, which is still 1 up from start, but down from previous week do I get points or not? (Did anyone follow that other than me??)

I am just reminding myself I still have 2 days to exercise and eat right before my official weigh in. Hopefully I will be down a bit more by then.

I am truly starting to believe I will not be 205 by Christmas. I simply stagnated too much for too many weeks. In order to lose it now, it'd be over 3 lbs a week, and my body has never done that through healthy measures. And I refuse to use unhealthy measures to hit a goal weight. Ah, well. I am not giving up. I may not be 205 by Christmas, but I sure as hell won't be 220, either!!

I'm off to the gym! I've had a cup of veggies already and I know what dinner will be, and I added carrots to it to make sure it had two cups...day 1, challenge will be met! (Still sad that sweet potatoes won't be counted...would have made turkey day a snap!)
