Am i too fat?

i think i still need to lose some weight (or fat).

5' 9~10"
155 lbs
16 y o
14% body fat

i was originally planning on going to 150, but i dont know if thats enough. i mean, if i stand up and flex, i can see somewhat of a six pack, but if i crunch my stomach, there is still some fat that folds. my "ideal weight" is 148, so i was thinking maybe 145. i just want my abs to show, and no fat to fold.

From an adult standpoint, I'd kill for your BF%!

I don't know what is considered norms for BF% in youth, although you are only 2 years out from "adulthood" so I think it is somewhat safe to categorize you there.

How active are you? I would have to assume at least somewhat if you can glimpse a 6 pack. That's more than I can say for me when I was your age, even though I was of similar height and weight (maybe a touch heavier).

To answer your question, I don't think you are too fat "by the numbers" but you're not going to be happy until you reach the physical appearance you desire, so from that standpoint (if that is what you desire) the argument could be made in the affirmative.

i pretty much excersize every day, at least an hour. an hour and a half of "aerobic excersize" twice week (usually, sometimes i skip). and the rest of the week, weights. but remember that 14% is the border line between athletic and acceptable body fat. so you know. first ill see what happens at 150

Aerobic is where you're going to burn the fat, man! Yes, anaerobic build muscle which burns fat, but aerobic is key to fat burn!

I would say that if you are looking to really get cut, but at the same time keep the muscle, an 1- 11/2 of aerobic exercise is a little excessive. You are most likely burning muscle. I would do some interval training (15 sprint , 1 min jog) for 20-30 minutes, 3-5 x wk. Take a look at a marathon runner and a sprinter's physique... this is the best visual explanation you can give. In addition, I would take a close look at your diet. Lots of protien and a variety of foods, high in vitamins and low in fat are the best - especially for a young, growing chap as yourself.

BTW, are you sure those "rolls" aren't just excess SKIN and not necessarily fat?? and 14% is a VERY GOOD body fat percentage I wouldn't sweat it so much.

oh my word, 14% bf is excellent, if you want to get ripped and let ur six pack out is cage then follow the above advice which was spot on - don't do so much cardio, you're most likely burning of muscle mass. You say you do weights 'the rest of the week' I take you to mean that you do weights 5 times a week which means you're either not working your muscles hard enough when you do work out, or you're over doing your muscles. Remember when you work out your muscles get damaged and it's in the rest period that they rebuild themselves + a bit extra, if you're not resting your abs enough they will only get smaller.
