I am really starting to love Tuesdays, even though this is the last time that we will have an ultrasound on Tuesday. We should be released to the regular OBGYN in 2 weeks. The last 'fertility' ultrasound should be next friday..

WE HAVE ARM AND LEG BUDS!!!!!!!!!!! :D

I never thought I would be so frickin happy about arm and leg buds. THere is a spinal cord forming and it moved!!! holy shit it moved!!!
It looks like a little whale. :D

Heart beat is 185 BPM and it is at 8 weeks 6 days in size. :D

I am over the moon. I am so unbelievably happy and satisfied this morning that I should be on something.:D

Weight loss? Who gives a crap about weight loss right now.

I now resume my regulary scheduled bitching and moaning.......

Brian, that is just awesome :) I am so happy you are happy! Enjoy it, wait until it looks like a little person - my 20 week ultrasound looked kinda like an alien (I probably should have known she was trouble right then and there)...

I am waiting to see something more recognizable as a person- but I am very happy with a whale.:D

Whales work, although a person is generally easier to care for, plus I think your wife will be much more comfortable in her pregnancy if it is not a whale :)

Very cool, Brian. When you go for the 20 week sonogram, bring a blank video cassette and they might tape it for you. Our place said no, but when we showed up with the tape they said ok. When we did it for our second, they said no. Seems to me like it depends on who is actually doing it. I was so glad to have that because seeing that image moving around like that it really looks more like a baby then just the picture.

Keep that "high" feeling and pull it out when ever you need it.

I will definately bring that up to my wife when the time comes.

it was awesome seeing the image move. Really drove it home to me, it will be more amazing when it gets larger.

Have you felt it yet? Probably too early still. Just wait until you happen to be looking right at your wife's tummy and you see a little foot push out. =) Scared the hell out of Briana's dad. Hehe.

It's even worse when you see the face pushing out. Like something out of an alien movie.

Yes, that really happens. Little bugger will push out a foot or hand - or head - and you can see it push the skin out. Closer to term, when the baby is more developed, you can usually tell what body part is poking out. It won't hurt your wife, though, it'll just feel funny. Of course, when it happens, you can put your hand on her tummy and "touch" your baby's hand/foot/whatever. It is kind of freaky - especially when you are not prepared for it, which you now are, kind of - but it is also pretty cool.
