Actually I built quite the deck a couple years back and needed to stain it again.
750 sq feet or so with alot of railing takes a while. Ill see if i can take a picture of it and post it here.

Well I have been off the wagon for a couple of days this week. I have not worked out since Sunday. I know overall this is not a big deal but it kind of is to me. I plan on working out today sometime.
I have been working though!
I attached pictures of my deck that I built 2 years ago and stained the last 2 days. The rain scared me yesterday but it looks like it will be ok.

All is good, I am taking a home vacation this week.

Thank you. I will be back on today. I have just been so tired from the work outside that I have had no energy to do much.
I tried to play volleyball yesterday evening but honestly sucked quite badly- thank the lord it was not a league night..
Its only 9am here- plenty of time to get going on things...

It is even reinforced for it.:D

The only problem is I cannot afford one.:(
For now it is just a decorative feature- although i will eventually turn it into a gazebo of a sort with a roof and such.

Probably a good thing. If you did, you might have a couple of guests arriving from 400 miles away.

Why do I even try to take days off from work?
I decided to take this week off when i was supposed to go to Virginia for 3 months- we were slow and I wanted to get a jump start on projects around the house- but now that I am not going it is a vanity, fluff vacation.
The issue is that my damn owners do not respect the vacation. I have received no less than 25 emails- down from my usual 50 or so- since Saturday afternoon asking questions and needing answers. The proper answer to an owner is not " I am on vacation right now- I will give you an answer Monday...".
I am just freakin irritated that I cannot even enjoy doing nothing. These people are killing me. Granted I have a project starting 5/19 and another major one 5/26- with any luck- but they knew all this and still approved the vacation. Why the hell this company cannot do without me for 5 freaking days is beyond me...
Nothing is earth shattering and nothing needs to have "I need this ASAP" in the subject line of an email!
I am going to have to go into the office on Friday to get some things together since I am the only one who can do this aparantly.
Going to the gym at 1230...need to work off some of this BS...
 
Damn. I think of vacations as interruptible. Everyone else is unavailable on their vacations, why not you? Ever try to get a doctor or lawyer on his/her vacation. Not happening. You get referred to this associate or that one. Why not you? You're just as important. If it was me, or even if you worked for me, I'd say let them wait.

I agree to a point but unfortunately my company is way to invested in their middle management. I am usually the only one who knows anything about the particular project I am working on. If they need answers I am the only one who can provide them. Now reaching one of them on a vacation- impossible....
It just irritates me that they do not respect the fact that I am off. Emails I can handle- unless they have ASAP anywhere in the subject- but the phone calls piss me off.
