I am so impressed with your attitude change :) this is just what you needed.

You have made tons of positive changes and I am glad that you were finally able to see the wealth of success you have had. Guess what? Very little of that is tied to the number on the scale.

None of that is tied to the scale.
I am just going to have to accept that the scale is not my friend. Somehow I have gained all this strength and fitness and I have been overlooking the lifestyle aspect of this for too long. I am seriously going to put the scale away and not have it in my bathroom at all and only use it once a week or so.
Measurements and pictures will do it for me- every 2 weeks.
I need to do this, I know. I was honestly shocked at the pictures I posted in my thread. I did not think I looked like that. There is a chance I actually look good. A small chance but a chance all the same.

Glad to see you got your head our of your proverbial ass :)

BTW - you do look good, no small chance about it at all.

Amazing progress in the gym, man. Good for you. Good for you for making all of those changes at once! It took me over a year after quitting smoking (and getting even more out of shape as a result) before I decided to do anything about it.

Again, awesome work. You're really kicking ass.

Thanks Fish.
As i have said before- it was the fear of gaining more weight after quitting smoking that drove me to start getting healthier. I knew I could not stand to gain- I was too close to 300 for my liking.
Of course I then found I liked and enjoyed working out again. Then I found I really enjoyed running. Smoked for 18 years and I like running......
That is what put me over the top.

It was only in the proverbial ass because I am not flexible enough to have it in the actual one.:D

Do you have any peer reviewed evidence to back up your outlandish claim??

Watch it buddy or I will start a poll.....

Hey Bigguy,

just wanted to peek my head in and tell you , you have done an amazing job. Grats on all the progress.

:hurray:

Kevin

Good reading . . . two thumbs up! :D You've done such a great job!

Okay. That's the end of the nice for today. Congratulations to you to be the one that received it. :D:D

Thanks for the honor of the last nice of the day..
Should be an award of sorts.

You read the whole thing??
Good lord- i dont think I have read the whole thing...

From what I can see, though, you are well on your way to it . . . :p

I'm pretty good. Meeting my baby for lunch so I get to play in the sunshine a little. :D

The trouble is - I never really quite stay out of it :)

Good on getting outside, sometimes that is all the lift you need in a day.

I am sure he appreciates it...he is probably busy baking himself to a nice crisp :)

Actually I do appreciate it.:D
I am no more or less burnt than yesterday but at least the work is done.
The weather is supposed to change here overnight so it is a good thing that i am done. I just need the rain to hold off a few more hours for things to dry.
