All aboard the Fat Loss train!! Choo Choo!!!!

Here is my first diary post! hee hee hee....

Today's workout:

Weights
4 mi run

Today's food:

B (post workout): 3 eggs, 2 sm pancakes with strawberries (no syrup), 12oz milk with 1 scoop protein powder

L: protein bar (I foudn this really yummy protein bar at the store yesterday...and it's from SNICKERS!!! Ok, ok, don't kill me. LOL Before you harp on me (u wouldn't do that, would u?? lol) I will tell you that I plan on making my own after I get the ingredients this week)

Today's Cals: 1039
Macros: 36.5% carbs, 33.1 fat, 30.5 protein

Not gonna freak at the high % of fat yet bc I still have another 4-700 cals to eat today.

Have you calculated your personal MT Line and adjoined activities? Do this if you havent already.

One other thing I want to add, is that you MUST (in my opinion at least) restrict refined white sugar from your diet. I mean run away from it like a pack of wild dogs is chasing and wanting a piece of you!

I don't normally eat pancakes, but I felt like making them for the kids, so I had 2 small ones. I could have done oatmeal, but quite honestly didn't want it today. I do realize that it would have been the better choice, but considering the last couple weeks, B kicked @$$. LOL

Welcome to the group, hard to tuen down what your kids like to eat ;-) Good luck with your goals, this place is packed with great information. How many kiddos? How old are they?
 
Our kids are close in age. I have four kids 10,8,8,and 5. Nice to ahve another mom on board, there are a few of us around.

Wow, am I sore today! My @$$ hurts like crazy, butt (ha! pun intended) it's a good sore. And my thighs are a bit sore, too.

Today's food:

B/S: granola bar
L: sm. can beans, 1 slice wheat bread

I know, it's not much, but I will add to it at some point. Going to head out in a minute for a run - but just a short one, today. Thought of just hopping on the elliptical, but it's too nice a day for that.

Oh, and tonymc - I can't respond to you yet, but I will when I 5 day window is over. LOL

Also try to get a little more protein in that first meal of yours. switch the white bread for wheat.
 
And be careful even with Bread "Labeled" as Wheat, because this isnt necessarily the the case. Sometimes wheat bread get loaded with refined sugar and brown sugar (BOTH ARE BAD), just be mindful of this.

Ensure the that the first ingredient is something like: Whole Wheat Flour, Stoned Ground Wheat Flour (or something like this).

I like Pita bread the one I use has three ingredients: Whole Wheat Flour, yeast, and salt. I think this gets as close to good as one can get.

Agreed good point

Eziekel bread is another good choice. I think that is how you spell it.
 
Hey there. Yeah, I know, I need more protein in the am. And I would have normally had eggs &/or oatmeal, however I had an appt this morning and had to rush out, hence the granola bar. And as for bread, I don't eat white bread. Only wheat. :)

Went for a short run. Kids drove me nuts, so I had to cut it short and walk a couple times. Not my idea of a good run, but I was pushing my 35lb daughter in her stroller, so that has to count for something, right? And there was a HUGE hill I had to go up.

Edited to add: sorry, Chillen, didn't see ur post. I admit that i do need to find a diff kind of bread, and at the same time, I try not to eat too much of it. Don't usually have sandwiches for lunch, but rather salads or something. However, I will look at the bread this week and find a not-as-bad-for-u kind. :D
