AIM's p90x Challenge

Anyone remember me? :) It's been too long since I last visited this forum. I kind of gave up hope a long time ago but a friend introduced me to another forum and also p90x. That's the home DVD workout thing. I could post the link to the forum which has a weekly picture of me going through my p90x challenge but I'm not sure if it would get removed. Well, I stuck to both things and progressed a lot. I am currently at 200 lbs., 6'0, 18, male. I have cleaned up my diet and exercise whenever I get the chance.

I wanted to post my pictures that are a result of my p90x challenge. It was a 90 day program and I stuck to the majority of it. The diet part was on my own and basically stuck to eating clean, that's it.

So, how's everyone here doing? Some names I remember are Chillen, Karky, ProteinBoy, and GT (that guy I did a challenge with and failed... ;)) Glad to see this forum is still going strong.

Welcome back! I remember you. I see progress in your pics - was that over 90 days?

Congrats on the weight loss

I'm surprised you havent gained more lean muscle though. P90X is some hard ****.
I weigh 150 / 5'7" of lean muscle and i can barely keep up with that ****er.

Thanx guys. Yeah it was 25 lbs. lost in 90 days. I wasn't expecting muscle gains. The program is for fat loss and is known for getting lean.

I remember you g8, with your bikes and all :) How's the ride now-a-days? Glad to see your still around.

I found my first thread, AIM's Progress Pics, and I decided to put the pic next to my more recent pics. There's quite a difference compared to today :)

Huge difference, Aim. Keep up the good work! Glad to see you posting to the forum again, and learning you are doing well.

You are doing the P90X program, and what does your diet look like?

You know me, I am going to ask that dietary question :action6:

Good to hear from you.

Chillen

Thanx Chillen, I was expecting your question :) The diet that came with p90x I did not follow. I stuck to the most general and basic dietary guidelines to lose fat and it worked. The guidelines were eat clean and less. That's all I did. I normally had oatmeal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and a small portion of whatever my mother made for dinner. Also, I would snack on basically carrots and other veggies and fruits. I will have to get stricter if I want that six pack :)

That's cool. I missed you posting to the forum Aim, and am genuinely interested in your progress.

The diet that came with p90x I did not follow.

You can be successful with P90X without following their dietary guidelines, and truthfully I am not all that educated in what they recommend. Some mere basic and fundamentals of fat loss will correspond to this program.

I stuck to the most general and basic dietary guidelines to lose fat and it worked.

And,as noted above, I agree the basic fundamentals will work with this program.

I normally had oatmeal for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, and a small portion of whatever my mother made for dinner. Also, I would snack on basically carrots and other veggies and fruits. I will have to get stricter if I want that six pack :)

Aim, I know "the walk" in fat loss through my own experiences. And, would like to share in your personal walk.

Trust me when I tell you that your goal is attainable. However, you have to put the work in: Set your goals, be accountable and measurable, and be consistent.

If I had one wish, it would be that you post more to the forum, and share your concerns, triumphs, and successes.

WE can take the walk with you, watch you grow, and show that picture of the six pack you covet.

What do you say?

Best wishes,

Chillen

Sounds good :) I'll continue to update this thread and track my progress. I'll gladly ask for any help I need. As of right now, I am well equipped and ready to continue my journey to a six pack :) Glad to know I have a knowledgeable, ridiculously fit guy I can refer to. Thanx Chillen.

I agree that you can attain the results that they show by not following their guide to the 'T'. That is by far the 'extreme' version of nutrition. Sure if you follow the guide to the letter you probalby could get to what they show in the 90 days or close to it.
I've done 2 rounds of P90x now myself and I'm getting there, but still not at that level. For me, it also comes down to the diet. I've done a 180 on how I eat, what I eat, when I eat and everythign else wrapped up around it. It's made a huge difference.

Your results look great. You will attain your goals just sticking to it. Love to see success stories and those continuing down the path to a healthier lifestyle.

Keep with it and can't wait to see yours unfold here.

great

Is the first picture you posted the one before the 90 days? I can see loads of difference between the two...everythings got all pinched in above the hips...You go man!!!

The middle pic is the one I posted after the 90 days. The one on the left is the one before the 90 days. After a lot of time off of my first round of p90x, I decided I would start up another round of p90x. This time around I will stick to a better diet and hopefully get a six pack. I will post back once another 90 days are complete :) Thanx for the support guys.

Oh I'm not only accountable and committed, I'm dedicated :) I'm currently on Day 12 of my second round of p90x, so I will post the pics in exactly 88 days. The wait is a little lengthy, but hey, I'm human :)

Well, I'm in round 2 of p90x, and I'm feeling better than ever. I will post pics at the end of the second 90 days. My plan is to finish this second round of p90x and get down to serious weight lifting. I have a feeling that once I'm done with p90x, my body will be used to the workouts. So, once I am done, its weights to build muscle so my body will burn more fat even at rest. Anyway, glad I chose p90x and am hoping I get pretty close to a six pack soon :)

PS: Wtf happened to CHillen? I just saw the poll, and found out Chillen is actually banned, and heard that the topic will no longer be discussed, but with all do respect, why was he banned? He was probably the top motivator on this forum, and he's banned
