Advice/Tips for moderate to extreme weight loss

Hello, I am a 16 year old boy and I need help. I currently weigh over 300lbs and that number keeps rising. I am unhappy with my worsening physical condition and need help.

I don't know where to start. I know absolutely nothing about being healthy and am open to input. I am in search of ways to lose 50 to 100 pounds and improve my overall lifestyle.

About me: I live in a rural area and enjoy hunting, fishing, and target shooting. I also like to swim in my pool.

PLEASE HELP ME! I also need like boatloads of motivation...

Bro I feel you. At 15 I was 5'7 300 lbs over 60% bf. Morbidly Obese and was teased and beaten up for it.
I now sit about 190 lean at 5'11.
I want you to go to the doctor and have him do your blood work if youre comfortable with this. Your insulin sensitivity (this is all Greek to 90% of people don't worry) probably sucks, atleast I know mine did when I was overweight. If I were you, I would cut out all junk food and carbs. I know this doesn't sound fun. But by sticking to meat and veggies you can really peel the weight off fast. You can eat quite a bit of calories and diet this way, as all the food you're eating is good quality delicious food. I would do as much swimming as you can too! I ran a marathon at 270 and can completely say, Big guys don't do well on pavement. Do as much walking and swimming as you can for cardio, it'll greatly increase fat loss the more you do it, while really helping your cardiovascular system.

High protein high fat diets are great, eat lots of eggs, meat, veggies (such as broccoli, asparagus with shredded cheese is amazing too), peas carrots with a little melted butter. Stay away from things like bread, pasta, rice, sugar, potato's.

Hey! Thanks for the reply! I actually just had blood work done at the doctors and they didn't find anything too alarming, they noted I had elevated levels of triglycerides in my blood but nothing too serious. My diet is a serious issue though. My family is a relatively low income household so we don't get as many healthy food options as I would like. I find myself eating a lot of red meat or chicken with a side of potatoes and other vegetables like corn and fresh green beans. I am up to the challenge of cutting unnecessary junk foods and increasing the amount of exercise I get. I hope it works!

Thanks for your feedback. I will give it a try! We get a couple dozen eggs a day from our hens so this seems like a great start.

Every little bit you do bro, helps in the long run. Weight loss is like a marathon, slow and steady .

Sorry to hear your story. Sounds like you need to take a look at what you are eating. You sound like an average active teen so I would think it's got to do with what you are eating. Since you have not given much info on you diet, I cannot comment.
