Advice on new routine

Hey guys!

Wow, it's been ages since I've posted here, which is quite sad, but it's a testament to how busy I've been.

So I'm adjusting nicely to life in the big city, but fitness wise it's not as good as living in the country and training with my buddies at the school gym for free. In fact if I was to go to a regular gym here, yearly membership costs four times as much here as where I used to live - and that's with a student discount :(
I'm hoping to make enough money during summer to join, but meanwhile it's back to my trusty dumbbells.

Here's the current routine I'm using:

Light warm-up
Squats: 3s x 8r
Dead lifts: 3s x 8r
Dumbbell Rows: 3s x 8r
Pushups with weights on back: 3s x 8r
Pushups with raised feet: 1s x 8r
Upright Rows: 3s x 8r
Sit-ups with weights: 3s x 6r
Russian Twists with weights: 2s x 6r
Curls: 2s x 8r
Lunges: 3s x 8r

Finish it up with some stretching

Seems to me I'm missing serious shoulder exercises - is this correct? What would people suggest and where?

Moreover, since I don't live at home anymore, I've got nowhere to do my beloved pullups and chinups. Can someone suggest good freeweight based alternatives? I'm figuring different types of rows is going to get some of the same work done.

Equipment available is 2 dumbbells, and not much else for now I'm afraid. Goals are strengths foremost and a bit of definition, as usual for me.

Thanks!

you should balance your movements. There you've got 2 upper body horizontal push and only 1 horizontal pull. If you add vertical push, you need vertical pull too, totaling your number of exercises quite high which can be very taxing.

dude lets play starcraft!
my sn is fenix_sc
i play on east :]
and yea, military presses work shoulders very well.

try
squat
deadlift
push
pull
abs

that should be sufficient. you have to split up your workouts so that theyr not too complex or as karky said, taxing

Thanks guys.

How about doing the following for push and pull?

- Pushups (H Push)
- Dumbbell Rows (H Pull)
- Military Press (V Push)
- Lat Pulldown (V Pull)

PS. Proteinboy, I can't right now - I'm busy with uni. I'll PM you when I'm available :D
