Advice Needed :)

Hey

I am a 20 years old and would like to lose 4 stone before my 21st birthday which is on the 27th December. I am currently around 14 stone  so my aim weight is 140lbs. (I'm 5'7/8)

I understand that I have a lot to lose in 5 months, this is why I need advice on what exercises, especially toning I can do.

When I was 17 I had a problem with an E.D and dropped to around 8stone. This is why its essential that I do this in a healthy way, focusing more on shaping my body rather than the numbers on a scale.

I have a treadmill, and dogs that I can walk. But toning exercises that I need more advice on, how I can tone my arms, thighs and stomach. whilst maintaining curves :)

thanks

Hi there,

You have some work to do, although I think you will come very close to achieving you goal.

I highly recommend you see your doctor first and see what he recommends.

If he says your fine to go for it and your past E.D will not affect you in any way then you can do this by yourself. But if special considerations have to be made then:

1. You will certainly have to set a appropriate diet. This is your starting base. I would highly recommend a dietician help you out at least for 2 months, just so you can get a hang of what good and whats not.

2. If you get an okay from your doc, then there are plenty of exercises to do. Simply search on google "toning exercises". if you need help feel free to PM me

3. Motivation will be your biggest problem, remember to reward you self, set short and long term goals and if possible workout with a friend. Also a Personal Trainer may be beneficial if you can afford

Lastly good luck, let me know of progress

cheers

So, recently, I’ve worked out this pact with my G/F to help me get skinny. She tries to help me with my food consumption… But recently, its been annoying. We’ll be out with our friends and she starts slapping my hands if I eat too much, or she will say off-the-cusp things while I am ordering and it’s beginning to make me hate her a little, due to my gluttony. I’ve seriously considered just breaking up with her because of it. I’ve started watching Rocco’s new show on bravo and it’s helping… a little… hopefully things get better when I win the Watch and Win contest but, I heard tonight hes bringing on a few workout experts like Joe Dowdell to give some advice. Is this a good direction to head? Or has anyone else had this same thing happen to them?

Hi there

Check out Dax Moy's Elimination Diet - It's just a clean eating programme but the information you get on the free download is immense -very sensible, no points calories or weighing food, just REAL food.

I use the clean eating principles with all my clients and it works a treat everytime - one of them has lost 4.5stone with me simce the end of January.

With toning exerises, i've got some free workouts up on blip tv and youtube (easier than trying to explain what to do, and the workouts are very short. pop over and check them out.
)

Good luck on your mission, and keep us posted on how you're getting on.

hey there,

Like pearshaped advised, a clean diet is the key to a healthy weight loss. Eating the right foods will give you more energy, speed your metabolism up, burn fat and help you get lean. Even small changes to your current diet will give you noticeable results

For exercise, I would recommend a full body routine, which includes compound exercises. These focus on 2 or more muscles at once and help get your heart rate up, which will burn far more calories compared to Isolation exercises, which only focus on one muscle at a time.

Do this kind of workout 2 to 3 times a week, with 1 to 2 days rest in-between. This should give you amazing results.

I also recommend some form of cardio, 2 times a week in-between or on the same day as your full body workout.

Best of luck buddy :)
