HI
Can you guys tell me if instead of going to the gym, I use a Swissball and do all the exercises to tone up bmy boidy ... would it be alright ? and if i also do jogging or just dancing for 30 mins 3-4 times a day!
I m 5'11, 17 years and 147 lbS and a male!
I wanna gain muscle and look good and not skinny!
How many calories should i take?
tahnx guys

the bad news is that you will need to hit the gym...unless u have ur own place to keep all heavy weights...

the plus side of going to the gym is that you also have spots, which can be very helpful to get those last reps....you also get to know people which is great...its really boring to work alone anyways

y don't u want to go to the gym? if its cost i can understand... if its embarassment than you will get over it in a week :) i had the same problem (skinny), i got over it...

If properly used the swiss ball requires your body to use more stabilizing muscles and better proprioception. It is great for beginners to advice people who want to exercise, but you have to be very careful using it on advanced exercises...

some ppl do pull numbers out their rear end but i perfer not to. "they" might tell you to eat 4000 calories a day. but if you're only eating 2500 and you bump it up to 4000 right then and there, it wont be good.

find out how many calories it takes to maintain your current bodyweight and then work from there.

Hi

THanx for all the replies but could someone tell me how can I tone up my body with a swissball without cardio and amake muscle out of it ?
I want to lose the fat around my waist with an exercsie ball but how?'
THanx

Swissball can be used for any "bench" exercises (flat press, incline press, flyes), it can be used for the preacher curl. You can use it for body-weight box squats by pinning it against the wall and rolling it down as you lower your body. Of course you can do any variation of ab work. Use your imagination to create a work out.

abear gave some great advice about finding out what macro nutrients you are currently consuming so you can adjust them for your program. Weight loss is going to be mostly determined by your diet, especially in your case where you're looking to lose fat without any type of cardio.

Good luck!
