Addition to vegetable meal

What are some good additions you can add to a meal of mixed vegetables? Like something (can be one or two things I guess) that might make it a bit more tastier and a bit more substantial. I'm talking something like some chicken or something along those lines that is healthy. Also are there any possible healthy sauces that can be added every now and then?

Brown rice stir fry? Mmm sounds good to me.

One of my favorite suppers is Lots of steamed veggies, cold Salmon, mash potatoes, Quinoa and a few slices of pineapple for its Bromelain content to help with digestion.

if you want to add a little sauce, try some salsa. low cal, and adds a lot of taste for very little. also pizza sauce works good too. just make sure you buy the healthy versions of this stuff...there's a lot of garbage out there

you could add any kind of vinegrette to your veggies too. mostly low cal and lots of taste. go for a walk down that aisle at the store and see what you can find

I like to add tofu, eggwhite, or some lean chicken. Sometimes I use a little flavored mustard (just not the sweet kind, which would add sugar), most flavored mustards have about 5 calories a teaspoon, and a little can add a lot of flavor. I find that if you add mushrooms, they make the veggies seem more substantial : ) Hope that helps!
