Well, i'm finally back guys. I needed a little break. I ate kinda bad for my break, but I still did exercise. Good news is, i didn't gain any weight. Bad news is, i only lost half a lb. Still, which is fantastic. I am ready to pump it up, get a fresh start and exercise and eat strict. Im gonna make a list, to focus on what I can do better eating. Here some of the things:

1750-1850 calories a day (if it ain't broke, why fix it?)
Aim for 40% protein, 30% fats, 30% carbs
20+ grams of fiber a day
less then 20 grams of sat fat a day
no trans fat!!!
try to eat whole foods
try to get simple sugars by natural sources (ex: fruits)
try to make every meal a whole meal (1 carb, 1 fat and 1 protein)

I need to research more abot complex/simple sugars then i'll add something about that.

Well, anyways, what have I been up to? I started school again and working. I hope to get a tutoring job so that makes more money on the pocket.

All right, so here some stats for today:

1770 calories eaten
31% fat (13 g sat fat)
39% carbs (25 g fiber)
29% protein

Not bad, I'm very happy on how I balanced everything out (of course, carbs is gonna be way up there!!!!)

I did a 3 mile jog burning about 400 calories. I also drunk well over 2 liters of water.

My goal this week is to drop about 2 lbs, hopefully obtaining 198!

I would love to chat more, but I need to do some calc and chem hw. I will add more about my boring life later.
 
Wow you've done really well since you commented on my journal way back before I left for 1-2 months! Good luck with your new plan - sounds like what I'm doing, except my cal requirements are lower cos I'm 5'4 ;)

Chem homework fuuun... I've finished chemistry forever yay (if you remember I do biochem at university) - my last year starts in sept and I've done ALL of the modules. SOO happy :)

Complex sugars - get any decent general metabolism book (or even bio/phys/med books).

Only lost half a pound?! I'm looking at your ticker and wondering if I'm missing something, because it looks to me like that "only" half a pound is the loss that got you under 200! Congratulations!!

Sorry - Ginger kitty has threatened to shave her entire furry body as the fur balls have taken over the apartment - I can't keep my own place clean, I'm not good at cleaning others.. :D

Well done on breaking the 200 lb barrier - way to go
 
I haven't posted in a while, but thanks lulu, slimmom, and I can always depend on you mal...

These pass 3 days has been perfect eating wise. Gotten in a ton of protein, and i've eating under 2000 calories. I've alyways did exercising and weight lifting.

I need to start recording in my journal as much as I can. I am getting a little depressed because my 21st birthday is coming up. Thats right. Its coming up on 10/10. I just look back on these 21 years, and it felt like I accomplished nothing. Grr...I need to stop being so pessimitic about life...which I am slowly working on.

So, what have i been up to since i haven't been as active on the boards? enjoying life...trying...work...school and such. talking about work, my currently employer (movie gallery) is closing shop, which means I need to start looking for a new job soon. Meh, i have until dec. 2, the pay sucked, so maybe its a sign from god, and i'll get a better job. had some great perks those, like free movies.

I expect that I should be down a few lbs a week next tuesday (weight in week). I have been eating right and really trying hard on my exercise. I ran a solid 30 min at the gym, at 6mph, running a total of 3 miles. The last 5 min was a b!tch...my stomach started cramping, and I started tasting the lunch in my mouth, which I ate about 4-5 hours earlier (sorry for the explicit description), but do you think 6 months ago, I could have ran for 30 min solid at 6mph. Hell no...

I am thinking about changing my routine. Right now, I weight life 4 days a week (2 days upper body/ 2 days lower) but i am considering doing a 3 day rotation; 1 day arms/chest | cardio, 1 day shoulders/back | cardio, 1 day legs/abs | cardio, 1 day off (or just cardio/HITT). Yep, I plan to do cardio everyday....its just so good for you and loses a ton of weight.

I will try to be more active on the forums, but i KNOW i will be continuing my life stile change, and reaching my goal of 180 by the holidays, and hopefully 160 by summer 2008 (so I can walk on the beach without a shit :p). I can never imagine myself be *really skinny*...i'll try to remain a *little meaty* with some muscle..but who knows how my body will turn out.

Hey, I haven't been on in a while but happy belated birthday! Hehe...

I can't believe how much weight you've lost, that's so awesome!

I hope you'll find a job that pays better and that you like after you're done your other job!
