Hi guys, long time no see. Many new faces here and some old.
I am back to a fresh start to a healthier life style. A little bit of background of me for most you who don't know me (or who even care
). I am now 22 year old college student who is currently. I started my weight loss journey in 2007 when i was at an all time high of 276. I changed my lifestyle; ate healthy, exercised and reached an all time weight low of about 196 lbs (had a relatively low body fat) by the end of 2007.
2008...well...that wasn't such a good year. I tried to hit it back into gear...but lets just say, its was a bad year.
I've gained some of the weight back and now i'm currently about 220 (put on about 25 lbs...and lets not even get into how much muscle mass i loss by not weight lifting). I am trying to reach my ideal weight of about 175.
I also want to make this a life style change, not a diet. i was careless in 2008...didn't manage my time right...didn't exercise. Now with a little bit more free time, and an awesome gym membership (and with some extra cash with from the holidays
) I am ready to kick it into high gear.
Today was a good start of the day. Main reason i started this journal entry back is because I FINALLY got my gym membership back. I put it on hold since last october. Today was actually a pretty good day eating /exercise wise. I had 2 slices of whole grain bread and some scrambled eggs for breakfast (ok, a little bit of butter), some rice and chicken at about 4pm, and a protein shake, after my even work out (i did an hour of cardio and some weight lifting...I am gonna be sore tomorrow).
Eventually, I will weigh myself and set up a fitday account and all that good stuff. I just want to take it slow. Oh...and my goal....
Lose 8 lbs a month (2 lbs a week), so...about 40 lbs lost by the end of june. Basica plan will be 1800 cal diet....high in protein, good fats, and some carbs (maybe a 1/2, 1/4, 1/4 ratio...i will get the exact plan later on) and to exercise 6 days a week....6 days of cardio and 4 days of weight lifting.
I am glad to be back and definitely looking foward to meeting some of my old weight loss buddies and the new faces around here.
Until tomorrow, have a good night.
Adam
