Achilles Tendinitis

Searching for help with achilles tendinitis.

DMSO was a fix introduced to me a long time ago and was a magical fix for
tendinitis on 3 different occasions. 1 - 2 weeks of no exercise combined with topical application of DMSO got me back to training without pain.

Sharp burning pain in right achilles led me to order Nature's Gift DMSO. It's "99.9% DMSO" in a rose scented Aloe Vera creme. 1 month after daily use, I still have same pain in achilles.

Whatever type of DMSO I used years ago gave off a garlic-like(not quite as pugnent) smell. I don't get the same smell with the Nature's Gift product.

Any advice on curing my tendinitis so that I can get back to hiking the beautiful hills overlooking the waves of the Pacific Ocean? GRACIAS!

the other thing, i didn't post in your other post would be a put on a cast or the like, and get some crutches

Rest for 3-4 weeks and stretch your calf muscles by using your stairs. Use the edge of a step and slowly let gravity do the job.

Start by doing 10 sets of 30 seconds every day after having a walk for at least 10 minutes for a warm up, for the first week.
Weeks 2, 3 and 4 increase it to 1 minute sets.

Rest your legs for 1 minute between sets.

Crutches are likely best remedy. However, I have spent too much time on those in past. They are a good upper body workout alternative.

Here is where I am on my achilles tendinitis:
1. Nearly inactive aerobically.
2. Ice, elevate and DMSO. Using oversized sock for ice treatment and DMSO.
3. EZ, slow, heel extensions plus foot rotations both ways.

Had one private message on DMSO. Still curious about others' experience with this elixir. Perhaps I'm showing my age?:yelrotflmao:

another treatment

You could try getting an ultra sound machine. There is a very good one available from Canada, not too expensive, and very helpful people working there. The website is think you will find it helps a lot.
