AbSlide and breakdancing

Ok heres the deal. I want to know the difference between toning and stregthening your mucsele. I'm asking because i just bought the AbSlide. I wanted to make my abs stronger because i breakdance you use your stomach a lot!! Will the AbSlide help in this or should i try something else and if so, what. Peace out.

I can't comment on the adslider (it's a bar with a wheel on you roll on the floor) - since I don't have one,

- but I didn't once know a swimmer who used to complain about the ache after using one

However I know these work:

- those abcradle things
- a kegal exercise where you just lie on your back with knees up and move your hips up and down
- lie on back and raise legs, or kick either one at a time
- those things that electricute you to tense the muscles, most useful for learning to isolate the muscles

But look out. If you want abs you need to be very slim, medically under weight I hear most of the time. If you're normal weight it does show but it's not really proper abs

I have the abslide, I felt it worked my back and arms more than my stomach.

there are a lot of pilates excerises that work your core muscles and help with balance. that might help for you.

You really breakdance? I haven't seen that since 1986.

Skip on the abslide. You just need some good all- around strengthening and conditioning. A little extra ab training won't hurt, but skip the gadgets.

Best training for breakdancing? Breakdancing of course! Like you said, it really works your abs out.

not true. In order to see your abs you need to have a low body fat %, but you dont need to be very slim or underweight. Its just that if if you have big strong ab muscles, you wont see them if they are covered in a layer of fat.

I would say for breakdancing you need core stability, so research core stability excercises on a swiss ball.

The absliders in my experience are rubbish - dont bother - a simple stomach crunch works better.
