abs

it seems like no matter what i do i cant get my body fat percentage lower than a certain amount (~10%)... i have pretty toned arms, pecs, back, legs, butt, but i have a lingering amount of fat over my lower abdominal muscles that i cant seem to get rid of... I have tried eating 6large meals a day, 6small meals, eating large meals for breakfast and lunch and snacks later on, only eating carbs earlier in the day and protein throughout, i work out heavily at least 3 times a week, i walk a mile almost everyday, i eat no fast food and stick to whole grain, lean meats, i just cant seem to get these abs to shine! Can anyone recommend what diet works best for lowering body fat percentage and how often i should be working out my abs (weights vs many crunches) etc?

you just have to keep on doing ab workouts, 10% body fat is a really nice % so don't worry anymore about lowering it, some people were just to have a certain % of body fat and no matter what they do it doesn't go down. Just hang in there and do more ab workouts, i recommand swimming which is a good workout for the abs also a great cardio hope this helped.:p

10% body fat is very lean. Everyone holds their body fat in different places. It sounds like you hold your fat in your abdomen. I tend to hold my fat in my thighs, so around 15% body fat my 6 pack shows. But someone who holds fat in their abdomen might have to get a very low body fat to reach a point where their abs would show.
You are very lean and probably have some great features. Try to focus on that.

Have you checked out a book called Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle? It's by Tom Venuto and he is a natural bodybuilder. If you are at 10% body fat. you will need some bodybuilding advice. Even if you don't want to be a bodybuilder. To cut even more... check out that book.

I have his book and another called AllStars Secret on my site. Either of those would suit you really well.
