ABS question

Hello all,

Been working on my abs and carido a lot lately and have noticed some major improvements, even have gone down from a size 36 (tight 36) to a 34.

I do a series of different abs work outs every second night, I have noticed my obliques are improving quite a lot. Though my overall gut has decreased a lot I still find the bottom centre of my abs need the most work.

What are the best ab exercises for focusing on that part. And I Am aware tha cardio and what you eat go hand in hand as well. Thanks all

Zod

For the most part, your abs fire as one unit. Man of Steel has a good point regarding the pulldowns and leg raises.

Keep switching up the routine so your abs are challenged. Also; to burn more calories and challenge your core while you lift try these tips.
1. Instead of sitting on a bench, stand up (Standing overhead presses rather than seated). This will serve to challenge your abs/core. The more muscles you use in a movement the more calories you'll burn.
2. Instead of laying on the bench, do lying dumb bell press on the swiss ball to again challenge your core.

I'm assuming from your post that you're really in weight loss mode right now so these tips will help you in caloric burn. Once you've achieved your ideal weight and are ready to begin adding muscle mass, you'll need to perform more stable movements to maximize the amount of weight you're moving.
