Abs Question

You dont get a 'fat' stomach... you just get a weak TVA and your abdominals my protrude... yes it is a good tip to 'draw-in' when doing abdominal exercises (if not all exercises)...

you abs shorten your tummy when contracted, your sternum moves closer to your navel, thats a good contraction.
 
Transverse Abdominis, muscle fibers run like a belt line over your abdominals, so you need to 'draw in' your abdominals to contract them... Exercises are like Dead Bugs, Planks, Bridges, etc....
