abs + arms = bad?

for the past couple of months ive been doing an abs diet (eating right, and the six portions of meals) as well as running but i want to increase my arm size (biceps/triceps, the whole sha-bang), i recently bought some whey protein but then i realized would it kill my abs?

my goal is to have a six pack by beginning of september along with having some bulkness in my arms. is the way i should be doing this? just stop? or what?

i am currently ~155 lbs at near 6 foot tall.

if i didnt make this clear, please ask what i mean and not just ignore this post. please help :)

thank you

you wont get bulky arms by just working them, you need to train your entire body. Your small for you height, i would just bulk up and dont care about the abs get a bigger frame with some back, legs, shoulders, traps, chest, and build the size of your abs, then cut down to get the six pack. A 6 pack on a skinny kid really isent as attractive as the new generation of skinny superheroes wants you to think.

I agree with Karky that running and biceps curls isn't what I would call a "workout". But to each his own.

You're tall and light, I don't think it will be that challenging for you to increase the size of your frame. Some power movements (pushups, pullups, squats, deadlifts) would really help you develop the body that you might be looking for.

thanks a lot but i probably should have mentioned that i play soccer about everyday and am more "lean muscular/athletic built" then just small.

karky -> what your saying is just workout everything else then worry about the abs? i really dont understand

im saying to bulk up, you wont get too big for soccer. You can train the abs, but just dont worry about them becoming visible now. You need to build them up first and to do that you need to have a calorie surpluss to add muscle mass.

eat more. Try to gain maybe 0.5-1 lbs a week.

Also, search "full body workout" on this site, you will find lots of good lifting advice.
