Are you talking about bulking muscle?
 
Well, i gained 5 pounds in 3 1/2 weeks, so i assume that's good, especially since it doesn't seem to be fat that i gained.
 
Correction - you need a scale and a measuring tape!

There's a strange facination with the scale, whereby people looking to lose weight see no reduction, and quit working out, when in fact they may have gained muscle mass...

When bodybuilding, you really want to know two things. How much mass have you put on, and where. This way you can target your workout.

amen brother!

i never give too much credit to the scale. i know some people who obsess over 2 or 3 pounds, when their weight probably flucuates more than that in a day...
