ABBAgirl's Diary

Today was Day 6 of what will be an 8 day work week for me. I am very tired, but the next two days I will get paid double time :sifone: which makes up for my exhaustion.

Part of the reason I am so tired today, I suspect, is that my pedometer reads 22,142 !!! Oy! That certainly represents a lot of steps taken today...

Anyhoo, still working to reach 1500-1600 lbs per day. I am hopeful that when I get on the scale next, I will be lighter.

Cheers

Yes :). That is a lot of steps.

How do you physically feel eating 1500-1600 (I assume you meant calories) a day?

Hey! How are youu? I just wanted to stop in and say hi! I ended up getting my blood drawn to do tests and my doctor called me afterwards to let me know that my hormone levels were a little off and she really believes it can be PCOS. FINALLY! :) She referred me over to an endocrinologist, so now I just need to make time to go! :)

You're doing so well with your weight loss! :) AND U LOOK SO GOOOD! I can't wait to look slim like you. HAha. Also, is that pedometer pretty accurate as far as accounting for your steps? I want to get one! Also, are they expensive? Thanks!

Keep up your amazing attitude and have a great weekend! :)

:seeya:Hi, all!
Natsky: :Angel_anim: You cheeky monkey! I had no idea it was you, NJ! Glad to know you're still on board. How are the plans for your Big Day?

LFM: Hiya, my fellow canuck! I feel exactly the same consumin 1,600 calories/day as I did at 1,250. I was never hungry then, and certainly am not hungry now! My moods are basically stable. :chillpill:

OLUX: I'm thrilled that you got your doc to pay attention! IMO, PCOS sounds likely. Lots of gals on this forum have it, including me - though I find my own diagnosis suspect, as I had no difficulty conceiving and have absolutely no cysts on my ovaries at all. :icon_bs:

BTW, if I read your ticker right, you are very close to my weight! How tall are you? I would think you are already looking slim! :Angel_anim:I recommend a pedometer to everyone! Such a cheap way to inspire you to keep fit. I believe mine is fairly accurate. I got it quite cheaply, as our province (I live in BC, Canada) is really trying to encourage physical activity and the gov't was practically GIVING them away!

Today I worked a full shift, and am just now getting ready to finish off my 10,000 steps (8619 currently). Tomorrow I will work 4 hours in the a.m. and then another 6 in the p.m., which I know will be very, very tiring. But oh-so-worth it when my paycheque shows up with all that OT pay!:auto:

:waving:I worked 9 days straight, then got my period, and yesterday was my 39th b-day. :willy_nilly: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!:hurray: I had a lovely day, and am entering this new year of my life feeling happier, stronger, and more centered than any other year. I like who I am , and who I am becoming. I like that I am powerful, and know that I alone have the power that I need to change my own life. It is a good space to be in.

OMG!! Yesterday was my mom's 39th Birthday too!!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

Hi all. Time for my b-day party to end, after the last few days! Last night good pals had me over for cake and drinks. At least it was ANGEL food cake, which is fairly low cal :Angel_anim:, which still won't make up for the 2 margeritas!!! LOL Let me tell you, I have not had one of those since my early 20s, and they were mmmm-mmmmm good! hee hee I thoroughly enjoyed every sip.

I felt really spoiled that anyone would go to the trouble of actually baking me a cake and having an evening for me! It was wonderful just to catch up with old friends.

Just got home from taking my daughter out to an audition (which she nailed), meeting out-of-town friends for late b-day lunch (Subway), and now Dh wants me to go to some music shops to try out various vocal FX units - after which I will go to work. I am sooooooo tired, I just want to lie down and sleep! :svengo:

It is bright and sunny here, which is wonderful! Snow, snow, go away...

Cheers

:hurray:Just got back from walking to and from the library, putting me at 6,844 steps so far today. it is noon. Yesterday I managed to do over 19,000. That means that in addition to walking home from church and walking to and from work, I also marched while watching tv for another hour! LOL My family thinks I am totally nuts!! hee hee I just feel so lazy watching tv, I have to be doing something else too so why not walk?

Omega aims to get in about 25,000 steps per day, and that is how she's lost over 160 lbs!!! I am tired of being depressed and frustrated every time I get on the dang scale. I look good, I feel good, and I am healthy. 'nuff said!

Now for a catnap before eating lunch, getting dinner ready, doing laundry, picking up kids from school, and heading off to work for my 5th of 8 shifts this week. *sigh*

Cheers

I don't think I've been by your journal before but I just saw your before and now pics and wow you look great :) What an inspiration! Not sure if I could march while watching tv without falling over though :X lol Sorry you have to work so much this week...is it always that much? Anyway have a good week anyway :) ~Lisa

Okay, here is a pic of me from last week, celebrating my 39th birthday. Feels good to be me! Seated one is for happy (or unhappy) comparison. ENJOY!

:seeya:Thanks for stopping by!

Today I have logged 25,209 steps. All week long I have not walked less than 16,000 per day, likely averaging 18-19,000. I have not done my usual sweaty hardcore routine at all, just trying to change things up a bit. To get in all of my daily steps I have been walking to and from work and then jogging in my living room while the fam watches tv. I think I am driving them batty! hee hee (my secret plan!).

Cheers

Hey ABBA, just stopped by to check out your journal. So who is that fine lookin' gal in that pic you posted? Oh, it's you! *whistles*

It's so nice to see success like yours. Keeps me motivated :)

:waving:Wow! Thanks for stopping by, everyone! I appreciate your words of encouragement. How nice to receive so many compliments!

So far today I am at 17,282. Since it is only noon, I'm sure I'll get in the rest of my steps.

Guten abend! That means Good evening, for all of you who don't sprechen Deutsch.

I just finished the night shift, and am pretty freakin' tired, but alas too wired to sleep any time soon.

My steps today were 26,757. I am curious as to whether I have actually lost any weight over this week while logging many steps but not doing my usual sweat-like-a-pig routine. Hmmmm...although I don't think :piggy: can sweat! Anyway, my routine is usually very...wet. Slippery? Slick and yucky! LOL Running on the treadmill will do that! I have been enjoying just the lighter activity of jogging in place and walking to get my steps in. I think my knees like it, too.

Marriage troubles getting me down some today. :nopity:Usually I can just let it slide off my back, but lately not so much. There comes a point when one wonders why she should stay in such a frustrating, depressing, anger-inducing relationship
when surely there is so much more happiness to be found! I believe it is the grass-is-always-greener syndrome. *sigh* 15 yrs and 2 kids later it would be pretty dang hard to walk away. :dupe:

Time for sleep

Hey ABBA!

Sorry to hear about those marriage issues.. I love my mum cause i know shes had troubles also with my dad when i was way younger... but she stuck it through because of me and my brother for the sake of having a family environment for us to grow up in, shes such a strong woman and an inspiration to me. So Mums rock! most of the time! when shes not yelling at me anyway hahah! but yeah... keep in there ABBA, you are a strong woman too, as mums are! don't forget it! and besides you're looking more fabulous with every passing day as you've lost ALL that weight!

You've done to amazingly so far, and still doing it, I applaud your efforts and determination! you are truly an inspiration, as is your diary to read for motivation to drag my ass to the gym, or saying no to those irresistible foods that are soo forbidden to have while trying to lose weight. So, thankyou for that, and very best of luck in killing off those last pounds! Pics look great too!

~dom

Thank you very much for your kind words, Dom. You're right, moms ARE strong!

My steps for today total 23,070 or 16.14 km or 1,556 calories. You would think that with all of the stepping I would have lost some weight, right? I mean, I am burning waaay more than I usually would. But, no. This morning showed me 3 lbs heavier. Aah, the joys of womanhood. :banghead:
