ABBA girl - ready to finish it!

Hi from :eh:
I have already lost about 60 lbs (you can see my photos in my diary and other posts on this part of the forum), and now I am ready to finish off my weight loss by losing the last 20 ish pounds.

My current weight is 156 lbs (at 5'5"). I am almost 39 yrs old, having had two beautiful children by C-section. I started my WL journey at 211, and my lowest so far has been 147 lbs. Christmas was no friend of mine :cuss:, but I am putting on my big girl panties and am now ready to kick my own butt! By April I aim to be 135 lbs.

I use Weight Watchers, with a daily point allowance of 20. I am also giving myself 7 extra points daily with my aggressive workouts of one hour (running + light weights + calisthenics). In addition, I have 35 extra weekly points to use if I want to. I believe 1 WW point = roughly 50 calories.

Here are some pics of me today, Jan 2/09, in my workout gear. Apparently I am taking my WL very seriously, as my serious face shows! :smash:

I'll also show a photo of me at the start of my journey, even though it's poor quality (so was my life at the time!). And here is a recent pic of me on my 39th b-day.

You look fantastic. Your skin is very nice and your stomach looks like youve never had a kid, much less a C/section. Ive had 2 C/sections myself and dont have a tummy anywhere near yours. You have done fabulous!!!

Thank you kindly for your sweet comments! I tend to carry my extra weight on my hips & thighs (yes, the typical pear :banghead:) and find it so ironic that my waist is always where I lose it first!!! Not to mention "the girls" However, in order to truly get a *flat* tummy, I use my stability ball regularly, doing crunches and pikes, etc.

I hope to be nicely proportioned once I lose my last 20.

Cheers

I have 12lbs left and I already know my skin wont look anything like yours. Ive gone from 217 to 135 (lowest weight so far) and my belly button is beyond the ugliest thing Ive ever seen. If I could change one thing about me, thats the thing I want different. :(

Hi Sarah
If your belly button troubles you that much, I hope you will seriously consider surgery to correct it! You have worked so hard to lose your weight, you should love every single part of your body!

((hugs))

Thanks very much! I like being curvy. I look forward to one day being more in proportion...:toetap05: Well done on your own WL so far!

wow!! You look fantastic! Your stomach is amazing! I hope to have a stomach like yours by the end of my journey. Congrats :D

Thanks, Brat! I owe it all to my stability (yoga) ball. They are very cheap - just make sure to buy a pump, too. I have to pump it up every few days to keep it nice and firm.

Best wishes on your own journey!:cheers2:

Hi Taz
It stinks how much my top has shrunk as I've lost weight! :cuss: However, I am hopeful that as the rest of me shrinks, my top won't look so small. I believe my waist at this point is 28.5 inches. I am working really hard to lose another 20 lbs, which should be totally possible!!! It is just very stubborn fat that does not want to budge  even though I am tracking my food and making sure I eat enough!!! And of course I keep exercising. But I shall prevail, and hopefully by Spring will be down another couple of sizes.

Thanks again for all of your encouragement, everyone!

Well, I understand not liking it, but at the same time you look great, you really do.

:waving: Hi there, thanks for stopping by! I started in July of 2007 and lost my initial 50 lbs within about a year, I think. Then over the next several months I lost more by ramping up my exercise. I joined Weight Watchers initially, and it has been a great help :iagree:- though I can no longer afford the weekly fee and am doing it on my own at this point.

*Down 2 lbs today*
