a very basic bodyweight workout

hey my friend is a couch potato and i have to design a very basic body weight workout for him so that he gets to it and will do it regularly, can someone design a basic body weight workout for beginners?
 
Does your friend want one routine that remains the same or is variety more likely to keep them going? I always try to individualize workouts because a person is more likely to keep it up if it reflects thier personal style.
