A step, jog, run ..in the right direction

Sounds like you're plugging along nicely and getting everything set up so that you can be successful in your weight loss :)

You really can't buy fresh fruit there for most of the year? If you can, I would suggest opting for frozen fruit over canned fruit and canned often has sugar and/or preservatives added.

I am a despicable person!!! I haven't been watching my calories....on purpose...because food tasted too damn good :( Today I made cookies..sat on the couch and probably ate about six or seven....signed up for my gym about a week ago and haven't gone yet because the hours unfortunately don't work unless I get up at 5:30...and Tuesday and Wednesday when I am free, I made excuses...so there I was, eating my delicioussss cookies...and thought, "hm, maybe I'll go at 7 if they stay open until 8."....I looked online and boom, a zumba class started in fifteen minutes. I got my butt up, put on my gym clothes, and freaking booked it over. 1 hour, 15 minutes of zumba today.

So calories for today suuuucked.

Exercise today was actually a success.

Yeaaaa...fresh fruit is available, but it is suuuper expensive and only lasts about a day until it is rotten. I can do some frozen, but I do want to keep a few canned around so that I can grab something quick. Although, I suppose I could thaw some frozen out in the fridge every few days just to have ready also.

Day 10 - What was the hardest thing you gave up during your weight loss journey?

Well, the hardest thing I am going to try to get rid of (since it is soooo not gone yet) is my sarcasm about exercising. I was in zumba tonight and the instructor said, "use that muscle" about something in our tummies, and I was like, "ha she's assuming I have a muscle there." It's not horrible, but it is a total defense and I just need to start thinking more positive.

I see... Well, I think that defrosting frozen fruit every few days might be a better option, but just pay close attention to the labels on the canned fruit - there might be some OK options there.

As for the cookies... I find that it works better for people to not have an "all or nothing" attitude. Allow yourself one or two cookies once in a while instead of telling yourself that you're not allowed to have another cookie ever again. In the big picture, a couple of cookies aren't going to hurt, but a whole batch of cookies might throw things off a bit more!
