I'm retarded, I admit. So I'm speaking retarded to this guy. I'm explaining things in complete retard speak. For instance:

I caught this story last night when I got home... and it's absolutely astounding... in the over 1 million miles i've flown over the course of my career, and all the take offs and landings I've had out of LAG and EWR, my greatest fear was going down in the Hudson... it's comforting to know that a plane could actually land with minimal mishap, on a very busy waterway, and have the people live to tell about it...

The Hudson accident took place almost exactly 27 years after an Air Florida plane bound for Tampa crashed into the Potomac River just after takeoff from Washington National Airport, killing 78 people. Five people on that flight survived.

I can recall the news footage of that so vividly - even more than a quarter of a century later...
 
The pilot is certainly a hero. What a fantastic landing considering the circumstances.

I had no idea just how frequently birds cause problems for planes.

HAWAII!!!

I finally got that elusive Hawaii Quarter that my stupid map that Ive been obsessed with for the past 10 years... and my State quarter collection is now complete...

I'm not a numismatist so I'm not sure why I even care -but it's been a 10 year adventure getting these stupid quarters...

What ever shall i do wih them now?

Congrats! I'd cash it in and start rebuilding your 401k plan that is inevitably in shambles.
 
my thought process fascinates me sometimes...

this state quarters collection is really the first thing that I've ever followed thru on til the end... My attention span for things usually sucks and I lose interest in most everytthing pretty quickly - i guess coins are shiney objects enough to distract me of something :)

But something as simple as 10 years building this collection -gives me proof that I can follow thru on something - and see it to completion - including project me.. It's just not gonna take me 10 years...

They just annouced a new quarter for your collection. They will now add Puerto Rico. It should be out next year, keep looking.

unquitting quitting smoking is far harder... cigarettes have gotten far more expensive since i last quit... and i'm still cheap at heart.
 
I don't drink any more or less than I used to - i really don't have time these days to drink...

Vodka martini straight up very dry w/ two olives Ketel One preferred is my summer drink
a single malt scotch or a really good tequilla that's just about as good as a scotch and it woudl a crime against humanity to make a margarita out of.

I lost patience with drunkenness in college - I will have a drink when I feel like it because I enjoy the taste...

or a GUinness any time

These are pretty much my tastes too, but I've slowed way down lately. I also lost patience with drunkenness in college, but it occasionally surprises me... more of an ambush really
