A new start for MommyOf2!!

Hi all!
I did my wonderful Kickboxing class today - even thought I had to make mean faces at the teacher when he harrassed me for stopping to get a drink of water and wipe my brow! Good grief - he's a task-master.

Then I had my 2 year old's eyes tested. what a nightmare!! Poor thing. She's very far-sighted, but not enough to need glasses yet. She will, but they're going to take it 6 mos. at a time.

Food today ...

B: Kashi, coffee
Sn: 2 graham crackers; 1/2 apple
L: Leftover vegies, steak, and basmati rice. (YUM!); water
Sn: Milk and 8 quakes

For dinner, I'm going out wiht the girls. Luckily, I love the soup and salad at this restaurant, so I should be ok, as long as I can resist the sweet iced tea.

I hope everyone else is doing fine!!! Thanks for dropping by!

Hey MO2! My daughter had to wear glasses for a couple of years while she was reading and stuff. Last time she went in, they told her she didn't need glasses anymore. She was actually UPSET that she didn't get glasses anymore. But my son is supposed to wear them in class to see the board and stuff, and he hates them and hardly ever wears them. Kids can be so weird sometimes. :D

Interesting, HH. These are things I'd never thought about especially since my older daughter is our little Eagle Eyes. She has better than 20-20 vision! Lia's a different story. So if your daughter needed glasses to read, then I suppose she is far-sighted also? I wonder what age they'll make her wear glasses.

Oh - you'd appreciate this one!! I planned to pick my daughter up from school at 3:00 or so. On the way, I was going to pick up some stuff for a meeting Friday at school. OK. The baby and I took super long naps and didn't get out of here till 3:45. Ran into someone at the store who talked our ears off. Finally got Jenna, had a note scolding me for letting her bring toys to school on non-sharing days. Ugh! Went to my school to drop off the stuff. They want ed to play in our playground. I said they could if they stay out of the mud. I swear! It took 3 minutes for Lia to have mud head to toe. Meanwhile, I can't find my keys so I'm frantically calling the office so that someone can let me in to drop off this *&^$# food!!!!! As a mom, I knew you'd appreciate that one!!! (And people wonder how I'm losing weight - Who has time to eat??? What I need is a Margarita!)

Amen on the margarita! I know how you feel...I have no kids...but with school and work it feels like I have no time to eat as well, and the reason I am in this shape is because of school, because all I do is sit and study!

Lol! Oh, the joys of having children! And the things we go through for them. ;) About my daughter and the glasses, the eye doctor said that her eye sight was perfect now. He said that it hadn't been too bad in the first place and her wearing her glasses for a few years corrected it. She may not ever have to wear glasses again. But if she does, she won't mind at all. Me? I hated glasses. Had to wear them since first grade. I finally got contacts at 14 and never wear glasses now. Lol!

My doctor gave me a prescription for something the other day for nerves and stuff and when he wrote it he said "when you feel like having a margarita, take one of these." It has the same effect on you as having a margarita. Hmmm... maybe I should get that prescription filled. Lol!

Hey hun! Just wanting to say hello!! I dont need a margarita... I think I need several mararita's right about now!! Hope you have a great day today!! :D

Morning hun!! :) Just wanted to pop in and see how you were doing. Sorry I've neglected you lately. I'm so bad! Awww sounds like a crazy day with the girls, but gosh.. you still gotta love those kids. :)

As for the margarita.. mm that does sound good!

HH: Can I get one of those? haha!!

Oh I want one of those pills! No hangover, right?? That's why I don't drink actual margaritas anymore - I just got the worst hangovers.

Thanks for stopping by, everyone! I didn't have a great day. I was all set to go to the gym and none of my workout clothes were clean. Can you imagine?? I was so frustrated. I quickly tried to stick in a load of laundry, but it didn't finish in time. I was so frustrated!!! So no spin class for me today. *sob* And then I took the girls to El Pollo Loco. I know I shouldn't have, but gosh it was just right there and we we had some time to kill before our playdate.

Life just seems to be moving so fast. I've been working so much, worrying abt. what the hell I'm going to do next year, balancing all these job offers, tired of watching what I eat all the time, and my 4 year old is driving me absolutely crazy. She takes forever to do anything, she's constantly whining, screaming, ignoring us. I am just down, down, down. We have so much stuff going on - our calendar is completely packed w/ nothing very interesting.

Sorry to vent! I just feel icky. Thanks for being my support network!

MO2, I'm sorry your so down :( I hope it gets better soon. DON'T give up! You've come so far! You can do it! Love your family, take some "me" time, AND TAKE LOTS OF DEEP BREATHES! :D

I agree with Cassie. I remember how hard it is to have two little ones, and I understand that "running all over the place with no time for anything" feeling. Just do what you can, and always take time out for yourself.

About those pills, I haven't even gotten them filled yet. But I'm pretty sure it doesn't make you feel like you have a hangover in the morning or what would be the benefit of the pill? Lol!

I'm sorry you had a bad day yesterday :( I hope today goes better. I love reading about your little ones, makes me look forward to have kids one day :)

Oh Angela! I can't believe hearing about my kids wouldn't make you dread having kids!!!

Anyhow, I'm feeling less down. I went to the gym this morning. My husband was taking my niece kayaking for Girl Scouts since her father is handicapped. He's their fill-in dad for things that require physical activity. I put the kids in kidwatch and did 2.25 miles on the treadmill in 30 minutes - ran 1.5 of it, walked the other .75. I did biceps and abs and left. There was a boutique going on and people were everywhere. Ugh!

Thanks for the kids words - I was really feeling like you-know-what. I gotta say. It just gets a bit discouraging, you know?

Anyhow, I'm back on track. Thanks again.

That is so sweet that your hubby does that for your niece! :D Congratulations on getting in that workout! Glad you are feeling better.

Hey MO2 :D just checkin' to see how you are today :D Great job on the workout :D That is really sweet of your hubby :D

Hope you get in some "me" time tonight and tomorrow :D Keep up the great work :D

Hey! Where are ya today? I know you don't check in much on weekends, but it is Monday now. Time to get back on track, baby! :D
