A new start for Iwan

Hey, its technically four bones broken, Drama Queen II broke his ankle and his heel, radio guy broke his collar bone and his nose (he let his brother reset it and he looks like hell, Flash should not go into plastic surgery, he sucks). Luckely Radio guys collar bone does not have to be surgically re-set, he has to wear a weird looking collar thing for a few months and since its his right side he has his right arm in a weird sling thingy that holds the arm to his body and wraps around his waist.

Accountability time. After the accident last night I had a bit of a candy binge. Im premenstral so that was all just the topping on my cake. That and I'm up for promotion already at my new job, but my promotion requires that I go to medical school to either be a medical assistant or a nurse. I expected this but now that it's upon me I'm panicking. Do I really want to go back to school? I'm an old lady compared to kids in school right now. How will I ever get a lab partner? I couldn't even get lab partners when I was in college as a 18-21 year old, guys only want hot lab partners. :( At any rate I was back at 190 this am, not crying about it though because I know I'm retaining due to impending TOM. It's all in the averages. It's all in the averages. I keep telling myself that, its become my new mantra.

Howdy Iwan,
Lol your not bad luck things just happend trust me things
happen all the time around here!I wouldn't sweat 190 because the scale likes to play games when you hit that borderline but give it a week and you'll be far away from that 190 mark.Hope you have a great day Tammy:)

I'll give it a week and a half and I'll probably be around 186-187, TOM weight seems to come on a bit early, in two days I'll have an attitude problem and then...yeah. I used to think that I didn't have PMS issues till I started keeping a food diary and tracking my weight with OCD-esque mania. turns out I binge, I retain water and then I let go of it so rapidly I can literally weight say 195 one morning and 190 the next. Our bodies are weird.

Thanks for stopping by Cannon! I like to give nicknames based on snap judgements or minor details. I try and stray from the negative or demeaning...most of the time. Unless your a drama queen in a bad way.

Iwan, congrats on reaching the 180s. You must have been real excited. Here's hoping that the next time you weigh in, the 180s will be just a foggy memory.

Thanks Funkyphantom! I appreciate the support and I am excited! Soon I'll be at my college weight and it's been 6 years since I was in college so I'm really excited to get back into a regular size and wear clothes that don't make me look and feel older then I really am. I feel younger every day, in fact and I get mistaken for a teenager all the time.

I know, I like shopping but not for myself because I can never find anything cute or funky in my style. I like old navy, but not love...I can't wait to shop at the Gap and American Eagle.

It's fun to find new stuff to wear as we lose weight. I just bought some work pants (on clearance) to get me through for a bit more time. I have some nice work pants in smaller sizes, but none that will fit now. Funny thing is that now I have to hem them before I can wear them! Geez...

Beth

I can't wait to shop at american eagle either!! that's one of my goals! haha i can only buy shirts there so my goal is to buy pants!

I know Glitter girl, last August I bought a sweatshirt at AE, from the mens section. I felt so damn fat and stupid, I started changing things and reading about weightloss that month, then started herbalife in september which lasted about a month. Luckly I found this forum, and lots of resources and support to help me out or I wouldn't have made it this far. I can't wait to walk into AE and buy jeans. That will be the day I know I was successful.

Your doing great and I am proud of ya I feel I am looking younger from losing weight so losing weight pays off for more reasons than 1.Have a nice day Tammy

Hi,

I m a new comer to this forum, looking at posts here it looks like everyone is maintaining diet, and exercise only, so are these wieghtloss pills no good, I had tried in past to loose weight by controlling diet, and by working out, but results were not effective then I took one of the weightloss pill Phenterprin, recently the online store people asked me to switch to a new Weightloss pill Synex , need to know how good is it , there are very less facts about this pill online on there website.

If this is route (weight loss pills) is not good suggest me what will be the best thing to do. I found phenterprin a bit effective but costly, no clue about Synex will itwork or not but its something I just started please advice.

ABSOLUTELY! My husband thinks it's so ridiculous but he has NO idea how it feels to be overweight and too big to shop in trendy stores with cute clothes! I used to have to buy all my pants online because it's the only way I could find trendy pants in my size. Then I lost some weight and Old Navy started to carry up to size 20 in their stores. Now I can almost fit into a 16... then I will go back to visiting the gap... then on to a 10/12 where I will shop at AMERICAN EAGLE! I may have to document that trip when it happens... haha

I'm a little successful...I want to be successful ALL the way....lol. 150 is a good goal for now, but I'll lower my goal when I get there. 150 is still large for my height. My ideal weight is about 115. But, coming from 230+ 115 is pretty much unattainable. I probably have 115 lbs of extra skin hanging on me...lol...ewwww!

I'm sure you do not!

I do hear you about refiguring goals. I think when we're so far from our goals starting out, it's hard to imagine ever reaching the goal we set in the first place - but we can and do - and then readjusting those goals doesn't seem so hard!

I know I'm much further from my goal then then the number on the scale tells me I am ;)

OMG I am a bad luck charm! I told you Deb! My son managed to fracture his f*&^^%$ hip today! How on earth does a five year old fracture a hip bone! At first we thought he just dislocated his leg and then he said he felt fine and then all the sudden he was screaming and crying in pain and couldnt go to the bathroom and couldn't move, he said his hip was stuck. so I brought him to the ER and had x-rays taken. His teacher swears nothing happened at school, he was with my mom when it happend, just walking down the hallway at my aunts office and he stopped dead in his tracks and started crying. A specialist is going to look for some kind of nephrotic bone disorder but other then that the fracture his x-ray looked clean.
Anyways, I've got a fever and a sore throat which ticks me off cause I don't want to be all germy and miserable right now.
