A new stage of the journey

And the Result is ..........................

I am Australian Bench Press Champion in the female 90 kg division

Thanks guys, I have worked hard for the result. With a combination of TOM and a seriously bad case of nerves I still managed to put up 3 good lifts.

my next goal is to Qualify for Commonwealth in Bench Press and Nationals for the full 3 lifts. I also believe I am in reach of competeing in a lower weight division as I weighed in a full 4 kg under the weight limit for my division.

Professional photo's of the event will be available on the 27th so I will post pics when i get them.

Yesterday I did a light weight session and a small amount of cardio

Walk 10 minutes
Leg Press sets of 10 @ 240,340,440 and 540 kg
Pec deck 3 X 10 @ 40 kg
chest press 3 X 10 @ 40 kg
shoulder press 3 X 10 @ 40 kg
seated dips 3 X 10 @ 60 kg

this morning I hit the dreadmill for 20 minutes while DH was using the vibrogym
5 minutes walk (6 speed)
15 minutes run increasing speed slowly up to 10
incline was 10
total distance 2.5 km

food in the last few days has been ok at refeed levels but now it is time to get strict again to keep weight progress moving in the right direction. I will probably get back into structured training next week :)

Had measurements done yesterday but very little in the way of changes (gained 1 cm in each calf)

completed 30 minutes on the spin bike. food could have been better, I had some food containing wheat and i am a bit bloated.

Yesterday

Bench Press 3X10 @ 62.5 kg
DB Bench 3X10 @ 25 kg
Incline Bench 3X8 @ 50 kg
DB Curl 4X10 @12.5 kg
Decline crunch 3X20 @ 27.5 kg

So far today i have completed 30 minute on the dreadmill (3k) and will hit the weights this afternoon.

I also have an interview with the newspaper today.

RANT

kids who are the victims of bullying (verbal and physical) should not be blamed for the bullying by those in Authority at school :(
I have been banned from entering the school grounds or having ANY contact with staff or recieve a large fine under the education ACT. because i raised my voice when trying to get the school to stop the physical asault of my eldest son by another student while in class only to have my son blamed for causing the bullying because he "has been given more oportunities in life". It is not an excuse, there is no excuse for physical assault. we are not rich, we are a single income family with 3 boys, 2 of which are Autistic. At 14 my son works for his own money and oportunity very little has been "given" to him opportunity is not given it is worked for.

END RANT

Finished yesterday with my squat day program plus a bit of extra ab work (decline crunches 3X20 with an added 27.5 kg)

had my newspaper interview so i will post it when it appears in the paper in a few days.

cardio day today but would like to do a bit of extra leg work as well.

todays back page of Newspaper

it was a bit big for my scanner so the headline was cut off

20 minutes treadmill (12 incline speed 6kph)

Nice pic, congratulations on the medal!

I hear you about the bullying. I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to autism - the situation in schools though is far better these days than 25 years ago and I'm sure it will continue to get better as people's awareness grows. Good on you for having the courage to stand up for your rights! :patriot: (er - insert Aussie flag...)

I have been MIA for a couple of weeks, Been busy with being ill, sick kids etc.

i hope to do an advanced strapping course and an asthma management course to allow me to provide medication to my athletes if needed and to suppliment my Sports Trainer qualifications (this is about equivelent to an Athletics Trainer in the US) to try and pick up a bit more weekend work and possibly some work in local schools.

my training has been set back a bit with being sick but this is as close as i get to an off season and my weight has climbed a little.

I am finding that doing the sports medicine is realy interesting and providing more variety than just personal training.
