A new me! (hopefully, with some help)

DAY 41

Breakfast: 2 wheatabix
Lunch: Ham, lettuce and light mayo wholemeal sandwich, yoghurt and 97cal crisps
Dinner: ham salad with light ceaser dressing
Snacks: granola bar

Exercise: 1 hour of davina!

I am not supose to run today, rest day, but i wanted to do something so i did my Davina DVD. There is 5 sections on this DVD: Aerobic, tops, bottoms, kick fit and yoga. I had tried the aerobic one twice before (before i started this weight loss kick i am on now) and i could never manage to do all of it, it is rock hard!!! There was quite a lot of it that i had to just march on the spot for cos i just couldn't do it. Well, today i thought i would give it a go so see how improved my fitness level was and......I pretty much did it, I had to pause it to towel down and have a quick drink but i did it all!! Yay. I then went on and did the next one which is called 'tops' and it concentrates on arms, i'm desperate to get rid of my bingo wings!!! Then i did some sit ups, desperate to do something about the horendously wobbly belly. I keep telling myself i must do what Rainbow does and do sit ups every day (she does 100 every day!! What a godess!) but i just keep forgetting!

I have eaten a lot less than i should have today, i have nearly 400 cals left but, i'm going out for curry and wine with the girls tomorrow night and i really want to still lose this week. I'm gonna just have salad for lunch tomorrow too so hopefully i won't do too much damage tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to it, still can't decide what to have though.

Ooooh, nearly forgot to mention yesterdays banoffee pie. It was soooooo yummy but, i felt sick after eating it!!! I still felt a bit sick when i went to bed too!

Rainbow Cheers beautiful for being so HAPPY for me! I am HAPPY that you are Happy!!! Xxx

Morning all

OMG my arms don't work!! this morning!!! I have done the arms dvd lots but not straight after a killer aerobic's work out and they soooooooooo dont wanna work. I was sat here with my plate infront of me and my laptop behind it but had to move my plate out the way and drag my laptop forward cos i couldn't hold my arms up to type! How pathetic is that ?!?!

I feel proper skinny today and i have put on my skinny black jean/leggin things and what i thought would be a tight top, i haven't worn it for ages cos it was too tight but it is quite loose!! Yay...good times.

I had to go into town today (not the town where i live, it's pretty much just crappy tourist shops here but a town about 15 miles away) and i thought while i was there i would see if i could find a cheap size 14 dress to use as a goal to get into. Anyway, they had a sale in this shop so i picked up three dresses ranging from £7-9 bargin. I don't wear dresses so i thought i had better try them on to see if i liked the style, not thinking that they would ever be clost to fitting, well.............They did!!! :):) one of them i couldn't get done up but that's cos it was a tight fitting one and i couldn't reach the zip, to be honest i didn't even bother trying lol. The other two, i didn't like but i got them on!!! I took some pic's but i don't know how to put them on here (tee hee).
The one i bought was a really fitted black MINI dress and i really liked it (my stomach and hips looked horendous but the idea was to use it as an insentive to be smaller) so i bought it!!!! £9 bargin! When i got home i got mark to do the zip up as far as it would go, thinking that it would never go up all the way BUT IT DID!!!!! Ok, it was really tight, too tight to wear yet but i got it on!! OMG i am so chuffed. I haven't worn a 14 since i was about 15 years old!! I really don't understand it cos the last time i lost a lot of weight i got down to about 10lb lighter than i am now and i was still a 16...Do you think it is because i didn't do any exercise back then and now i exercise like a demon??

Curry and wine night tonight!!! Really looking forward to it. It is 3.30 and i have just had my lunch, i left it as late as possible cos we ain't eating til late tonight. I have 770 cals left for today and i under ate by 400 yesterday so hopefully this curry won't do too much damage!! Especially seeing as tomorrow is weigh in day!!

DAY 42

Breakfast: 2 small peices of wholemeal toast with light spread and marmite
Lunch: Ham salad with light ceaser dressing
Dinner: haven't had it yet but it will be lots of curry and wine!!!!
Snacks: light alpen bar

Exercise: i am gonna do some sit ups in a sec

Ok, i have written enough today, not much else to tell ya. Just gonna do my sit ups then shower and get ready to go out. I haven't been out for months and months, really looking forward to it.

Happy birthday for the other day and a HUGEEE congrats on running for 20 mins. You're a star. Very inspiring lady!!

:D Thats bloody brilliant!!!! Size 14!!!! Who cares if its tight, it zips up! Which means you are almost there! I was so happy when I fitted into a size 14, glad your feelin it too! All shops do size 14, its a mainstream size!!! As opposed to an "outsize" size. And you can do that zip up!

Last time I was my current weight I was over an inch bigger everywhere, The exercise definitely helps tone up them muscles and make you more slinky. Oh dear, you've just gone and made me measure myself again.... nothing lost since yesterday haha.

I walked past banoffee pie in marks and spencers earlier on and thought of you! I've never tried it  Bout the only thing I haven't tried actually haha.

Sit ups do work really well, about 4 months ago I couldn't even suck my stomach in as my abs were so weak, but now I do a hundred without batting an eyelid. And my stomach is always sucked in naturally, that alone can knock a visual stone off you.

Hope your arms repair themselves soon :(

Wow, lot's to reply too and lot's to tell you guys but i am off to the gym for a run!!!! I know, obsessed, just waiting for the painkillers to kick in and this headache to go!! Tee hee.

Anyway, thought i would show you my new weigh in ticker......Cos i lost 3lbthis week!!! Whoop Whoop!!!!!

Hi. I've been looking though your journal and have to say -- WOW! -- your attitude and motivation are inspiring. Way to go!!

I enjoyed reading about your allotment. What a great thing to grow your own fruit and veg. I have tried to grow a few things like herbs and tomatoes in pots on our balcony, but without success.

DAY 43

Breakfast: 2 small peices of wholmeal toast with light spread and marmite
Lunch: tinned tomato's and toast
Dinner: Frozen battered haddock with boiled potato, peas and french beans and a tiny courgette fritter (just to try it)
Snacks: 2 light alpen bars

Exercise: C25K session (5min, 8min, 5min)

Last night was such a great night. I haven't laughed so much for such a long time, i really did enjoy myself. We met at a pub first and Gemma, and all the others from the gym were out celebrating the owners birthday and Gemma came over totally gushing about the banoffee pie and the others were all so complimentary about how well i had done and how good i looked!! Yay!! At the resturant we all drank far too much wine and i tried lots of different curries. Normally the hottest i have is a tikka masala but i ordered a bhuna but tried some of the other's jalfeze and madras!!! We were the last table in the resturant, whoops, tee hee! A few of us went back to the pub and i started feeling sick so went to the toilet and was sick!!! Then i felt fine lol and drank diet coke for the rest of the night but still had a great time.....We even danced!!!!!!!
I think my body is so use to not eating rich, high fat food now that it doesn't tolerate it anymore (which is fine by me to be honest) I felt sick after eating banoffee pie the other day and was sick after eating curry!!

I woke up this morning feeling rather rough!! I had a headache and the spinners! Jack stayed at a friends last night so we had a nice slow getting up. Weighed this morning and was really really chuffed with the result....I am on holiday in 2 weeks and now i only have 2lb to lose to reach my mini goal.. Yay!!!! Hopefully it is doable.
I wasn't sure whether i should go to the gym hungover but i really wanted to go for a run so took some painkiller for the headache and off i went......And, i am so so glad i did, i loved it. It's weird, back when i started to do my C25K i was very aware of every step i ran, my breathing, the time but now i have started to zone out while running. My mind wanders and i just run, i supose it's a bit like driving, when you first start it takes a lot of effort and concentrating and then before you know it you have driven for miles and haven't noticed that you have done it. That's is how running feels now. One of the guys Mark works with ran the London marathon this year and he was asking me how far i did (on my 20 min run the other day) and i was like 'i don't look at distance, i look at cals burnt' lol. So today i looked at distance and i ran 4k (2.5miles!!) how awesome is that!

Got back from the gym and then took some stuff to the recycling centre then went to the allotment. OMG it has bonkers up there, i am getting a little bit sick of peas and french beans and there is gonna be loads more french beans to come, coming to the end of the peas now, thank god, i never thought i would be 'oh no, not more peas to shell!' and we have got so many courgettes, we have had to try and figure out new ways of eating them. Last week Mark made Courgette tea bread, which was really nice, i only tried a little bit but Jack loved it!! You should have seen his face when we told him that it was made with courgette! Today we made courgette muffins (Jack liked them but i haven't tried them) Courgette fritter which were really nice and so easy to make, we are gonna try doing curry or other flavours in them next time. It's a shame they have to be fried :(
I also made carrot, courgette and corriander soup to put into the freezer. Very productive day. Then we curled up on the sofa and fell asleep in front of the tv! Bliss!

Sunflower Thanks for stopping by and cheers for the congrats, i love that i can inspire :)

Mandy No worries hun, i was a bit confused but it doesn't take much to confuse me lol :) And thanks for the congrats :)

Princess Awww you're such a sweetie, Thank you so much for your compliments. I keep thinking i must read your diary, i have seen some of your posts on other peoples diaries and i think we have both said 'i agree with...' each other. Will definately read it when i get chance, i've gotta figure out how to put some pictures on here first otherwise DM will start shouting at me! Tee Hee!!

DM Ok, Ok i'll do some when i have finished writing this post!!!

Rainbow I know!! Size 14 is awesome, especially since at the beginning of July i couldn't even get into size 16 stuff anymore. I was totally made up, it felt so so good. I haven't been a 14 since i was about 15!!!!! It really makes me think that maybe a size 12 is actually doable!!
OMG i can't believe you have NEVER had banoffe pie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is just, sigh, heaven. Definately my favourite pudding ever!!
I must remember to do sit ups every day, do you do them at a certain time of the day? I just can't seem to remember to do it.

Jasper It's so good to have you back hun, you have been seriously missed. Thanks for the wishes and congrats and you are right my mind is already pretty much there, just waiting for the body to catch up. I worry less these days about failing with my food, it has just become habit now.

Want2lose Heya and thank you for your lovely comments. I love that i can inspire but i don't really see that my diary is really of any interest, just my rambling lol I will have to read yours now and Oh, my word, there's so many pages....You and princess are gonna keep me busy for weeks, but, i love reading peoples diaries. I'm just a nosy cow really tee hee!
Yeah, we are so lucky to have an allotment and it is so nice spending time there on a sunday. It is so satisfying eating your own grow food. We also make jam's and chutney's for friends and family at christmas which they really love.

Firstly, I cannot beleive that you have been running 2.5 miles and not even REALISING it!!!!! Second of all, I can't beleive that you went to the gym hungover. Third of all, I had to laugh when you were talking about all the different ways you are using courgettes :) Your gonna turn into a bloody courgette, woman!

Glad you had a great night filled with dancing and cavorting :D

I do sit-ups first thing in the morning. If you think to yourself you can't face it in the morning, its only 5 minutes. Then you can swan about for the rest of the day in the smug knowledge that they are done. If you do them in the evening, there is no time for smugness.

DAY 44

Breakfast: 2 wheatabix
Lunch: ham, lettuce and light mayo wholemeal sandwich, yoghurt and 97cal crisps
Dinner: quiche and salad with light ceaser dressing
Snacks: 2 ricecakes, apple, light aplen bar and 160 cals of chocolate

Exercise: 32 crunches (can't manage proper sit ups yet) I did as Rainbow said and did them this morning so i could feel smug all day!

I put on one of the pairs of trousers that i had got out of the 'too small' bag the other week for the first time this morning and they are hanging off my arse!!! I ran up the stairs a few minutes ago (i do that a lot these days!!) and they literally fell down! i was so 'oooohhhhh' but had a look and they are size 18...Ok not so impressive but the last time i had tried to wear them they were way way too tight, hence they were put away. Now they will have to go into a 'too big' bag!!

Went to work today and the other girls that came out on saturday night said that they felt proper rough on sunday, one of them didn't get out of bed all morning!! They couldn't believe i went to the gym and ran!!!
Ooohhhh i forgot to say yesterday that we had decided on saturday night, while rather pissed, that we were all gonna go out again in a month and it was gonna be a 'little black dress' night as i should be able to fit into the size 14 one i had bought that day!!! How cool huh?? They are really supportive, bless them!

Joh I don't have to put any photo's on here now, seeing as you can trawl through all my facebook ones!!! I will do it when i can compare them to better ones. I.e the jeans and the little black dress but i can wait til i have ones to compare them too so it's not just blobby me!! i am taking pic's for you guys i just wanna wait til i can see results.

Rainbow Putting it like that, yeah, i can't believe i didn't notice that i had run so far....I was only interested in calories burnt lol And yes i am exteremly sad for running with a hangover but to honest i felt rubbish and running always makes me feel amazing so i thought i would give it a go and it worked. I think i would have slobbed on the sofa all day if i hadn't gone for a run, instead i got loads done and had a really nice day with Mark.
Regarding courgettes!!!!! It would be ok if i could eat most of the stuff we made but it's all cake and fried stuff, i get left with the crappy soup!! Oooh i took a picture of the ones we had left AFTER making all that stuff (and this was just what we brought home on sunday) I am going to attempt to put a pic on here now

Ooohhhh i have just noticed the advanced thingy and i have found all the little icon facey things. Oh i wish i could have known how to do them before, i would have had great fun. Like putting this one in when telling you how i was after my curry:puke: lol oooh and this one :drool5: when i spent 2 weeks talking about banoffee pie!!!

DAY 45

Breakfast: 2 wheatabix

Lunch: quiche & salad with light salad cream, yoghurt

Dinner: Small bowl of chilli & rice

Snacks: 2 ricecakes, apple, light aplen bar, solero and 83 cals of chocolate

Exercise: 40 crunches! C25K 2x10 min runs

I have felt really quite hungry today, hence all the snacks!! Don't know why.

I really enjoyed my run this afternoon and only struggles with the last minute and a half. Thursday i have to do a 25min run with no walk!!! To be honest, i am not worried if i can't manage it, unlike last thursday, i know i can run now, i just need to build up the length. I will give it my best but i won't be crushed if i can't do it, i'll just keep trying.

I don't like this new bloody forum!!!!!! How the hell do you get the ticker on here, i have just managed to lose everything trying to do it!!! GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr

DAY 46

Breakfast: 2 wheatabix

Lunch: quiche & salad with light salad cream, yoghurt and 94cal crisps

Dinner: Small bowl of chilli & Rice

Snacks: 2 ricecakes, apple and i'm gonna have some chocolate in a minute.

Exercise: 50 crunches (take note Rainbow!)

Another hungry day today!! I don't know whats wrong. I just hope that this is not the beginning of me going off the rails. I haven't thought about going over my cals but my stomach is even making noises straight after eating!! What's that all about?!?

I felt really skinny this morning but this evening i feel bloated and in need of a good fart!!! (too much info huh)

Ok, has anyone figured out how to do the ticker on here yet? I bloody hate change!!

AAAhhh it might have just done it or there is loads of gibberish lol

AI don't think it allows images in signatures :(. I even made a fancy self-made one, and it didn't go through, it only shows in the box after I put in the HTML.

Other than that!

I always feel hungry, too, even after eating. Don't give in! If you need to, eat some veggies, or something light, or drink lots of water.

Do you find doing crunches helps? I'm thinking of doing some, and push-ups every day. It's better than nothing lol.
