Sorry Thnkpositive, I did not see your post before for some odd reason...I'm actually in my sophomore year as well, but could not do chemistry yet because my schedule prevented me from taking classes on campus. Thankfully that has been sorted out and I can take themOhh I seee; either way thats still excellent! So this is your first year of college. And, oh yes I just seen your post in my journal. Im in my Sophomore year at my university and studying psychology. Thats my major as of now but I'm thinking of majoring in sociology in stead and minor in business. how bout you???
Psychology!!! That is so cool
Thank you so much soll!!!congratulation to you!
If there is pain then stop immediately, you should really see a physiotherapist (physical therapist) for special exercises if it has been confirmed that you have separation and they will be able to tell you if surgery may be needed. if you do start working on your abs then start very gently. If you do any crunching type movements brace and support your abs with your hands.
you also need to concentrate on working the transverse abdominis Abdominal Vacuum
Transverse Abdominis this is the muscle which holds everything in, the Tranverse Abdominis hold the abdomen flat.
Thanks so much Trusylver. I understand that crunches can cause a burning type pain, but this was severe cramping pain and I really could not stretch myself out of cramped position until the muscles finally relaxed. I will try all of the things you recommended including the physiotherapist.

I've just been looming around the 250's and 260's for a while and I really need to get out lol.
