A new lease on life - Xenon's Diary :)

I was just reading Tik's diary and it reminded me of something that annoyed me earlier today. Those people in my life who always say they want better for me, but when I start to do better they try to discourage me...what is up with that anyways? I know my best friend is totally going to go crazy if I'm thinner than her when she sees me next year. I'm not the type who likes to show off on people and it has always bothered me if people are jealous of me, and these things have actually prevented me from even trying to achieve things in the past. Now I consider that these are problems my best friend, et. al. have to sort out within themselves. I have to take care of my self regardless!

Isn't that always weird when they want all these good things for you but when they do happen, then discouraging words starts?! Drives me up the wall at times. You nailed it with that you have to care of yourself regardless. YOU FIRST!

Thanks so much Jes :D Since I've been on the diet my mom has been encouraging me to eat fast food and sweets but she *always* says she wants me to lose weight lol

Well looking forward to 239 in the near future :D I feel it is closer than the 240's to being out of the 200's altogether. Off to finish up some homework now. I'll bbl to catch up with everyone's diaries :)
 
Eek don't talk about finishing homework.. I'm pretty sure I have some unfinished somewhere due in for my tutorial tomorrow!!!

It's my first mini goal :)

I flirted with the 190s a while back but didn't stay long!

This totally reminds me of my family. My dad lost like 40 pounds a few years ago, and has been able to keep it off by eating ONLY Special K for breakfast and a salad for lunch. lol and then he eats whatever he wants for dinner. and although he never talked about it much, if i had asked if i was chubby, he would reluctantly say yes. lol but recently, i told him and my mom i was going to be making my own dinners if they needed to have pizza/fries/etc. and he told me i was being "ridiculous" and "taking it too far"... jeez.

stay strong!!! This weight loss should be for YOU, so consider yourself and your needs. don't worry about upsetting your friends, or making them jealous. and awesome job on the 10 pounds lost!! whoop whoop!

You should be so proud of yourself- you're doing so well! You're so motivated and determined...which means you can do this, and you ARE doing it!!

I'm sorry to hear about your friends. You make such great points...weight loss is something that you can't do for anyone but yourself! It's sad though, that people can't be happy for you, and your hard work...I don't understand. Friends and family should support you, and they're suppose to be there for you regardless, but sometimes I think they're the worst for sabotaging you and your goals...people are complex...

But you know what? (I'm sure you were all like, "What's that Tik?" hehehehe) .. you're rockin' it! And you are not letting anyone bring you down! And it's that kind of attitude that you need, and it's that kind of attitude that you're teaching me :D

You'll totally do it! You're almost there!:hurray: The last time I was in the 190's was when i was 19 yrs old...I wore like between size 11 and 13 and was able to shop in some regular stores *daydreams* ahh better days :p

At least he was reluctant lolol my father is quite the opposite. The taking it too far thing sounds exactly like my mum, I mean i love her and everything, but since she's heard I'm on a diet (me and my big mouth lol) she keeps telling me I can have XYZ from time to time and none of it is healthy!

Awwwwww Tik you are too kind :D And yes i am quite cute:p I did have a fabulous day. Hubby and I were all over town with the little one today and he (the little one) was so well behaved....well hubby was well behaved too :D I was not so well behaved because I ate off of my diet plan, but I figure one day won't kill me, and I'll be happy if I lose even one pound this week, although I'm hoping for more :) When I was single and not dating I used to buy myself SO many things for Valentine's day and at the end of the day lay in my bed with new lotions and pretty silk and lacy things, chocolate, jewelry lol...no guy has been able to outdo what I've done for myself LOL but I guess it should be that way :)

When I was single and not dating I used to buy myself SO many things for Valentine's day and at the end of the day lay in my bed with new lotions and pretty silk and lacy things, chocolate, jewelry lol...no guy has been able to outdo what I've done for myself LOL but I guess it should be that way :)

omg. i LOVE this. i think this is an awesome idea. next time i am single on valentine's day, i am taking a page from your book. good on your for taking matters into your own hands and not relying on someone else to make you feel gorgeous and sexy. i am a fan :)

Well guys i made an exception to eat off of my diet plan yesterday, but today I ate some fast food and a chocolate that was in the fridge. The problem, we had to rush out today without breakfast and I was on the road hungry again but also terribly stressed GAH I'll make it better the rest of the day and the week, I'm already getting my water in, and my next meal will be back on plan, but I have NO idea what the scale will say on Saturday. The thing is, eating out did not make me feel better as it normally does, but I felt worse because I'm working on myself and trying to make things better. Tomorrow I'm making breakfast come hell or highwater, and I'm getting some egg whites tonight for convenience.

Hope everyone is doing well today :)

i found this too, once I started cutting down on the fast food. it used to taste amazing, and now i feel like crap after and, sometimes, need to think of something else cause i am so grossed out by the food. thats awesome. progress for sure. soon, we won't even want the fast food!! :)

i feel for you in the convenience thing too. when i was living on my own, and cooking pretty healthy, i would always get stuck for snacks or when i didn't bring a lunch... that was when i would eat junk. good job taking a proactive step and being prepared!! moving foward:D good work xe!!
 
I have made up nick names for fast food to help me associate them as negatives and not positives
Example- Donuts are "grease rags"
Cheeseburgers are "Heart attacks on a bun"

How do you like my idea?

Thanks so much Katie! Convenience got me again today grrrr my husband and I left home without eating and were out until almost 6pm and I caved and got some fried shrimp with fries:smash: We had to rush out so I had no time to prepare anything, and there were no salady things at where he wanted to eat -_- I have everything arranged in the kitchen now :) but I'm expecting a gain this week...I didn't even get a chance to exercise today!

Thanks so much Tik. Today I was thinking I have had some setbacks these past few days, but I am not giving up this time, I ate myself into being unhealthy and I'm going to eat my way back out :D and of course exercise too

I am feeling the same no workout this week and crapy eating so we have to accept it and move on ....next week just has to be better!
