Hey Juni!

I just got caught up with your thread and hope you are doin ok. I'm sure after the dust settles, you'll be able to smile at where you've been and look forward to where you are going.

Good luck on your presentation...I think you'll smoke it!

Take care!

Hey Flumes, good to hear from you. Hope the time away was good? Thanks for the message. Nervous about the presentation and lots to do before that but I'm trying my best. Will visit your journal tonight to see what you've been up to.

Thanks Veronique, you are so sweet. Trying my best to eat right also. Hope all's well.

Gonna make today really good too.

Hey Juni!!

Glad to see you are making time to update even if you are super busy!!! I heard that people should swap reg potatoes for sweet potatoes they have more nutrients! I actually like sweet potatoes I prefer them in a potato salad but I guess that is not to healthy either lol! Good job on the walk, we got to fit exercise in where we can!!!

Not a big fan of potatoes, frankly. Its just that I hadn't been grocery shopping and that was the only thing I could find. :) But back on track yesterday. Thanks for the advise.

So Thursday wasn't so bad. I went grocery shopping and actually ate good food. Although while I was grocery shopping I also bought some cookies and sweet things- TOM anyday now so craving sweets like mad.

I was going through my medical history file today and ran across a piece of paper with doctors prescription. I don't know if I have mentioned before but until just three years ago, I hardly used to weigh myself. I felt good in my skin and didn't really think I had to lose weight, so I have no record of what I used to weigh when I was 23 years or 21 years or even 25 years. Until I ran into that piece of paper from ten years ago. I was 52kgs!! Wow, that's exactly 10kgs less. I remember I really used to feel good in that weight, but that was when I was 18years old. But it gave me a good perspective. I don't think I want to be 52kgs now that I am older- but somewhere close to that range 57 or 55kgs would be really nice.

Also did my weigh-in this morning (FRIDAY!!!) and I am still at 62kgs. Gonna crush it in the next two weeks, I hope, although TOM is around, so may feel bloated etc.

Food on Thursday is ok. Still struggling with protein, but I will get there. Also had cookies and stuff yesterday, so that wasn't very cool. Will try to do better. Really need to crush those two kilos in the next two weeks.

THU
B: no time- was at work early morn
S: cookies (ugh!)
L: boiled bulgar, boiled green soybean, spinach, cauliflower
S: 1/3 cup of noodles
S: puffed ricecakes
D: 1 chappati with cauliflower

This weekend is busy. Coming in to the office on Sunday to work on my early morning Monday presentation (yikes!). On Saturday I am meeting for a friend for lunch and we are going to watch a dance performance. She loves walking, so we will be walking all day, I hope. Then more packing again this weekend.

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

When I was 25 I weighed 49 kgs. I remember reaching 63 kgs when I started to put on weight and I was horrified and slimmed down to 57 for my wedding. Now I would be delighted with 63 as that is my goal weight.
Good luck with all the packing, it's a horrible job but at least it will use up calories :)

Hello Juni!
Thank you for stopping by my diary! Have fun at the dance performance! When TOM is gone I think you will break through the 62 kilo mark! I read your intro post and we are close in weight age and height too, I'm 29 and 5'1". You are doing such a great job with healthy eating keep it up!

I was just so shocked to see that I was so much lighter ten years ago, coz that's the only record I have of my weight past 2007. Was kind of like reality check. I think I would be happy being 57 kgs now.

The performance was good. Although I was so stressed this entire weekend, and eating all horrible things (that I won't even mention). Thanks for dropping by tropicalgirl.

So the weekend was not very good. I was a stressball throughout the weekend because of the presentation...that.....I......totally.......ACED it today. :) It went really really well but I was a ball of stress this weekend- yelling, moody and eating SUCH bad stuff. Yikes.

Today was much much better and I want to keep it that way. I only have a two weeks at work. I leave for home in exactly 22 days. Looking forward, but also really really sad coz I will miss so much from here.

Here's what I ate today:

B: two small pieces of brown bread with omelet made with two eggs
L: rice, cauliflower and pickled radish
S: ginger cookies, rice puffs, pb sandwich
D: prolly just veggies.

After the presentation, I took an early day off, came home and slept like I have not slept since college. I am sooo glad this is over. Now on to bigger and better things, hopefully.

Hope my forum friends are all well.

Congrats on your ACED presentation! Sorry I haven't been around in a while. I'm just catching up on everybody. I ate potatos yesterday. They were so good, but the only reason I ate them also was because it was basically the only thing I could find to go with my meal. I really need to grocery shop.

Well done on the presentation Juni! Knew you were gonna smash it!

Have a great day and hope your next two weeks go by stress free and leave you with the most favourable memories!

Take care!

Hello friends,

I don't think anyone visits here anymore. I haven't been back here in monthsss. Hope everyone is doing ok. I have been catching up on your journals. Some of you are still here, others, like me were not. I am not going to start a new journal as yet. I want to take this weight-loss thing seriously. This forum has always been so welcoming and good about accountability. I am going to read your journals and get myself inspired, and really start another one when I am ready. I want it to be a commitment I take seriously, not something I do half-assed. :)

A little update in my life. I left India in August last year and came back home. I finished my first year of graduate school. I am off for the summer and working on a few interesting projects (nothing major). Want to spend this summer relaxing, reading and working out. I lost ten pounds in graduate school (all that stress), I want to lose another ten. That said, I am beginning to realize I am also quite happy with maintaining.

I hope you are all well and happy. I will try to update as often as I can. But I am definitely going to be reading your journals.

Veronique, training for a race would be pretty cool. I may try it too, but I know once school starts I will have no time whatsoever. Lets see how it goes. Good running shoes are super important. I would suggest you do some research before you buy.
