A new beginning...

Plus... I know if I screw off, Paula will kick my butt! ;)
You better believe it! ;)
But seriously, thanks for everything today... please don't hesitate to let me know if I can ever return the favor. :)

Way to stay on track, even with family around! That's amazing. It is hard to eat well when no one around you is, but looks like you are doing it. Way to go. That helps motivate me to do the same. Usually we'll go out to eat when family is around, and then that's when I have a hard time saying no to junk. Stay strong and keep up the great work.

Thanks again girls!! I try and read this each morning before the rest of the house gets up and this is SO motivating to keep me going on the day. Plus my sister has been a big help and keeping on top of me and helping me watch out. :) Plus she's not a munchier.. so that helps a lot too!

Hey Julie glad to see you back girl! Was getting kind of worried! Hope things keep moving up from here out! :)

Skyler, that's a great idea, we'll push eachother to the end! Reaching my "end weight" is going ot be tough come the last 5lbs I know it! :)

Hi guys, just thought I'd journal a bit now since it might be difficult for me to post much this weekend. The family visiting has been great and I really haven't strayed much if at all from my healthier eating habits. (I hate to use the word "diet"). I'm just now trying to figure out what to cook everyone for lunch. We'll see! ;)

Weighed myself, and the scale hasn't budged but I am determined that by Tuesday it should be down a bit further. I've been so diligent about making to the gym, even on my "vacation" I can't imagine not being successful. Still trying to keep it under 1200 calories this week, since doing more cardio isn't as feasible right now. We'll see.

Well.. time to go watch the nephew, who is.. a wee bit wired right now. Maybe I shouldn't of made those cookies!! Which reminds me to mention I am so proud of myself, I made cookies for him because he'd been really itching for some and I haven't eaten any! Nor did I lick any batter or anything I'd normally be tempted to do! I ate a 10th of a cookie to make sure they didn't taste funky as I tried something slightly new in the recipe. So I feel great about that. The small steps that matter.. ;)

Good for you for staying on track while on "vacation." Enjoy your time with your family. (Your nephew sounds like he's got a lot of cookies to eat!)

your exercise looks awesome! and your so right about those last 5 pounds, they will be a mother to take off. have a great weekend! :)

Wow NewLeaf your doing terrific, way to go with the cookie. I don’t cook things like that anymore because I just don’t want to tempt myself.

That is great hun.. staying away from the cookies! I usually can stay away from the cookies.. but not the cookie dough!! I guess that is why I haven't bought cookies lately huh!! Hope you have a great weekend!

Hi guys!! Thank you so much for all the wonderful support, you guys rock! Sorry I haven't been posting in to many other journals this week! I may be also some what AWOL this weekend! :) But I will be bakc on track posting come Monday!

Hope everyone else is doing wonderfully! :)
Saturday, January 14th, 2006 Cheat day..
Water:24oz
Breakfast: cocoa puffs 240 calories (hey my nephew had to share! ;) )
Exercise: 20 minute walk
Lunch: chicken teriyaki sub & 20 oz pepsi
Dinner: five chicken pot stickers from Cheesecake Factory & sour apple margarita
Dessert: slice of cheesecake..yum! My real splurge! :)

Well, I only snuck in a walk so far with my sister, and will be walking around an outdoor mall later today too. Hoping to drag FH out for a walk tonight too. I am a little fried on the gym right now, so I feel like doing a bit more outside of the gym for my cardio! :)

So my splurge day.. boy do I feel.. guilty.. but its one day, and my family is here, so I really wanted to enjoy the last day of their trip, they drive out tomorrow. Alas. yes I am def. back on the wagon!!! :) I could only fit an appetizer in at dinner (potstickers) so I was proud of that, but the margarita wasn't so hot for me. Alas! It was a treat day ;)

Wow! Great willpower on only eating a small piece of the cookie! I have some wonderful recipes for chocolate chip cookies and peanut butter with chocolate chips, but I refuse to make them because I know I couldn't resist. Especially the pb and chocolate chips! Of course, I couldn't make them right now anyway because of my stupid leg!

You are doing really good! Keep up the good work and have a great weekend!

mmmm. What a tastey cheat day! haha You're doing a great job with the exercise and trying to stay on track with the calories. Keep it up! You can do it!!

Thanks MJ! :) Its been fun, but tomorrow is back to business!! :) Plus the family is headed home :( So this means I really have to stay on track again! ;)

Sorry that they are leaving. Will it be a hard willpower day? I always hate it when the company goes home. Lucky for me, however, my brother and his family are coming tomorrow to visit for a bit. Hopefully, I can be as good as you have been!

Hey there! Actually it should be an easy day because they have already departed! :( I'll miss them, but its nice to have my house back to sort of a normal level. ;) They were a lot of fun! Particularly my silly nephew who's 7. He can be a blast. :) Good luck with your brother visiting! I am sure you'll be fine!! :)
