Day Two of the New Year Challenge:
Breakfast: Bowl of Smart Start cereal (1 cup) 200 calories
The good so far: I feel slimmer today. Yippe!
Lunch:Steamed veggies & pan cooked chicken 400 calories
Snack: popcorn & fat-free pudding 200 calories
Exercise:30 minutes dog-walking
SubTotal:800 calories
Dinner:Turkey noodle soup 280 calories
Dessert:1 cup peppermint ice cream 300 calories
Total:1380 calories

Exercise:25 minutes on the treadmill,30 minutes on the bike, 30 minutes lifting upper body weights. Feelin gooood!!! :)

AGHHH! I just calculated my RMR and realized I'm at 1493. So much for staying at 1500 calories for eating!! I'm so annoyed. At least its only Day 2 of the challenge and still morning! Guess I'm sticking to a 1200 calorie limitation. Ooh so frustrating! I can't believe I didn't tally this sooner!!:mad:

I havent had time to read all your diary yet, but I hope your fiance is supportive. I am sure he would be. You will make your goal and be absolutely stunning in your wedding dress.

I will be working hard for the team. Today I have to work on water. I drank 2 of my fav no cal energy drinks instead of water. :rolleyes:

Just dont feel like the water with lemon goes well on those cold grey winter days. :confused:

January 5th, Thursday:
Breakfast: bagel,with egg,cheese, & bacon from McD's, one small diet coke (ugh, I couldn't resist or deal with calories from a regular coke!) 300 calories(?)

Lunch: turkey noodle soup,left over, 200 calories
Snack: Cherry coke 20oz, 250 calories
Subtotal: 750 calories by 2:33pm! Hanging in there!!

Dinner: Half a cup of roast beef, a cup & half of potatos, and 1/4 cup of stewed carrots. Calories? no clue!
Dessert: apple crisp and 1/2 cup of vanilla ice cream, no idea on calories.
Total: def. over 1500 calories I'm sure. Alas.. I did cut back on my portions from what I'd normally eat. So better than nothing!

I am SO sore today. My lower back has been aching for several days on and off, party thanks to that TOM, but now my hip joints ache too, I feel miserable. I won't be able to hit the gym tonight due to dinner with friends. So I guess today is my day off exercise, probably good that I rest! :)

Sorry to hear that your sore, but at least you can go to dinner with your friends tonight and not worry about. You're doing great, keep it up!

Note to all: Ibuprofuen(sp) is a wonderful drug!!! :) I feel so much better this afternoon. Also trying not to sit too long at my desk, because I stiffen up quicker! :)

Next.. last night I made a turkey noodle soup from my Cooking Light ma gazine, its SO yummy!! Two cups is 280 calories, and its plenty at least for me! So let me know if any of you would like the recipe! :)

Thanks to Ms. Paula for tipping me off on my boo-boo confusing RMR with BMR. Just figured I CAN go with 1400-1500 calories a day! Thank goodness, cause I don't think I can do just 1200!

Oh and my wedding plans are sailing along! :) I go back up to Michigan in March to finalize even more things and get my trial 'do done! :) Im so excited.. now I wish I'd just stop having those crazy wedding dreams!! :) Like the one where I get married on my parents front porch and my soon-to-be "uncle-in-law" is doing my wedding day makeup!!!
 
Hey there! Just checking in on ya! i hope you get to feeling better soon.. Hope you have a good time out with your friends tonight! That sounds like alot of fun! Well it is coming... We are to get around 4 inches of snow possible! Normally I wouldn't mind it but when you need to go pay bills and barely have any breaks on the car and can't get the parts for the breaks for 3 more day's .. the snow isn't a good thing! Lol... that is some dream you keep having there!!
 
Is your turkey/noodle recipe easy?? Cuz, holy hunnies, I can't cook, but I loooovvveeee soup :) If its not to hard, ya should post it for me lol.
I live in Montana- we have no snow, (yay) and its 45 degrees, which here, its a heat wave... everyone walking around in tshirts and shorts, lol.... good luck with the snow everyone ;)
