A new beginning...(Catie's progress)

Thank you for the idea with the pedometer Margaret I might consider it.

I have been doing ok, I can clearly see when I am the hungriest from my food diary and I have started to tackle this. Today I ate a banana at breakfast instead of the melon I usually eat. It means more calories but it also meant I felt full and happy until lunch time and didn't have a growling tummy by the time I had a lunch break.
Today, because I want to have dinner with my boyfriend, I will go swimming instead of dancing. I am going now-ish, after finishing to do some work (and some leisure ;)) on the computer so that I have time yto cook a nice meal.

For the days I can't or don't bring my own food I have found an excellent store: organic planet! It is just across the street from my department in uni and for 4 pounds you can eat a healthy varied mix of food and salads. I will definitely eat there whenever I can't pack my lunch.

Yesterday I did well on the 5 o clock but had the sugar shakes at 8 and had a cookie and a piece of banana cake. I have been monitoring my calories and I seem to eat about 1300 cals if I didn't eat sweets and crap, and my total in the end is 1700. This is not bad, although ideally I would like to keep it below 1500.
Oh yeah and my water has been really good, I think I have solved that problem.

Tonight we will eat some white fish (probably Cod), I am still fighting with myself about the side dish. It will be something veggie, but I am nto sure what, I might go through my recipes and find something beautiful and new!

Well done for being good with your water and finding a great place to get a healthy lunch. It sounds like the banana worked out well for you too.

Your food seems generally to be ok - but obviously you would be better without the crap in there. It would give a couple of hundred calories for food rocket fuel and you would still have less calories to your day. Having said that we are only human and sometimes we just fancy eating the unhealthy option.

I hope that you enjoy your swim.

I know that you will want to keep focused because you will be looking forward to the idea of a show as a reward.
