Man it finally loaded in. You rock man. We would have been bros back in the day. I use to study with Paul Gilbert and shred the Yngwie trip. I actually did a stint as the guitarist in Dokken after Lynch. Very clean sweep pickin mate. If you ever make it LA we need to hook up.

It's been 3 1/2 months since i started. The first 6 weeks I was losing about 10 pounds every two weeks. I started off with about 1200 calories a day, low carb, high protein. Consisting of Slimfast, tuna, chicken, lots a veggies, cheerios by the handful maybe 6 times a day, I ate a 6 " turkey sub from subway maybe 3 times a week, with no mayo or cheese. A big key is water. I drink alot of water.
Now, I recently upped the calories to about 1800 a day. still low carb, but higher protein, Mainly because I increased my workouts. Eating basically the same stuff, just more of it.

Awesome Hollywood! I used to be a huge Lynch fan back in the day. I have some 80s photos of me somewhere, I'll try and find them.....

I'm listening to Dreamstate right now. So tight it hurts. Now I know how you lost all that weight you just focused all that intensity into getting in shape. I have no shredding in my songs these days, more focused on vocals. Keep it up.

Me on tour with Warrant and Michael Angelo circa 1986:

Outstanding! Keep us posted about how to keep it off. I have been wondering about how one goes about doing that.

WOW!!!

CAN you say hottie!! You look amazing and I think your kitty cat is a sweetie too. Congrats on losing the weight, your now built like a brick s*it house! Your a real inspiration keep it up!

Thanks James, Miaterith, and everyone. You all have really helped me with my confidence, which has always been a problem for me.
I just checked out your myspace page James, awesome sound, Great vocals.
I guess the years of practicing hard on the guitar helped me with the weight loss. It was the same focus, just on something different this time.

Wow, I am so amazed and motivated now! I'm glad your happy with your results thus far and I checked out your space thing, awesome!

Did you make some kind of weight loss journal or anything to record what you were doing each week? I am very curious because I would love to try out your routine to try and reach similar results!

Wow man thats what I hope to do, get in shape and cut like you are from being not so in shape. I started at 350 (I know thats a lot) and now I am at 260 so far in 10 months. Did you do lots of cardio? I usually do 1 hour on a treadmill then lift some weights.

Amazing...Give me some advice Rob...

Freak'n amazing Rob,

Great job. Help me out....Was there ever a point where your weight loss was retarded due to gain of muscle? It looks to me like you lost fat and gained muscle and also lost weight! Best of three worlds. Presently I am stuck at 180 (for 3 weeks now) but I think I'm gaining some muscle (at least that's what I'm telling myself:p ). I would love to lose another 10~15 lbs in the process. Are you taking any supplements?

Please let me know and you look GREAT!!

Hey Chester, yes, I was able to increase my muscle a little while losing the fat. I've been taking whey protein, three scoops once a day, giving me 60 grams of protein. Also been eating tuna and lean chicken. Combined with weight training, I believe that is how I got the muscle increase. I've been keeping the carbs low, combined with cardio workouts for 1 hour 3 times a week, which is how I got the fat off. I started drinking ALOT of water back in March also, I was told it's a crucial ingredient in fat loss. Those three major points are pretty much how I got to where I am now.

Resisting the temptation of sweets and fattening foods was the hardest part, but i can say that after almost four months, It's not as hard to say no anymore. I hope this helps........Rob
