Tammy I have trouble with college level math and I always failed English But I can calculate at what temperature to get some good alcohol cooking lol...........
Being from the south has it's perks lol.......
 
Well today was a pretty good day. I stayed away from my evil friends house that has all the cookies lol. my diet don't start until tomorrow but today was......

Breakfast: 0

Lunch: 0

Dinner: normal holiday food

Bad things.......... slice of pie, slice of cake, 2 of those hostess chocolate donuts, 1 coke, 1 starbucks mocha and mint coffee.{told ya there was a sugar problem}

Now cooking some cabbage and tomato soup.. :puke: for tomorrow. I really hate my cardiologist. I should really be mad at me but it's easier to be mad at him lol.

everyone says eat right don't worry about it. He says eat all the cabbage and tomatoes because that way you wont go above 500 calories a day. Oh by the way take these 6 multivitamins....yup 6......

he said it's close to the liquid diet that gastric bypass patients go through....... I thinking yea I understand that but all the fiber :ack2:

Well one thing about being on this diet for a few weeks is it will be easy to keep track of food....... Did I mention that I hate my cardioligist......

Well you have a good time with that Buddy! Think of all the posibilities! There's cabbage and tomatoes, and tomatoes and cabbage. Then there's cabbage and tomatoes. I know it's a pain, but it's what you have to do. 50lbs will fly off in no time. Check out The South Beach diet cookbook. The wifey has cooked some really good meals from there. I don't know what else you can do with cabbage and tomatoes. Some different spices and seasonings maybe. Just for you, we are having it for supper tonight. I'll be thinking of you...:drool5:

Well the good thing about cabbage is it's bland so you can do just about anything with it. Add some cumin and coriander and it's a Spanish soup. Add some basil and oregano it's Italian lol. It will all work out. It's only going to be for a week or two so it shouldn't be too bad. One thing I can say is after a few days, I will only eat when I am absolutely hungry lol.....

I did howebver liked that other soup me and wishes tried for a week that supposely docs use right before heart patients surgeries "SACRED HEART DIET"it had a ton of more veggies and it was supposely calorieless I just coupldnt eat the crap 24/7 but it was a good back up plan for the latenight hot food crave or the in between snack and dinner ect.I hate cabbage so that would never work for me lol since that is the main ingrediant.
I wish ya all the luck in getting the 50 off quick and safe then you will definatley have that "MOTIVATION" you need to go all the way..

Well being from a traditional German family We had cabbage often. I like it so it's not a huge issue. This tasted pretty good and it almost had a sweet taste. It is just a head of cabbage and some stewed tomatoes and some onion. I tell ya one thing you wont eat just to be eating. when you are full you have had plenty lol....
 
Well today is still going pretty well. I'm not overly hungry since well it's not something to look forward to. I have had a few juices even though I want a coke sooooo bad. I probably need to get back to drinking water. I have decided not to have any coke; not even the diet ones for now. I started adding the calories in my cabbage soup and the best I can figure is the whole pot is about 400. I'm thinking thats why he gave me so many multivitamins. anyway thats how the first day back to eating something healthy is going.

Hmmmm I wonder if cabbage soup on top of a huge slice of cheesecake would.............................. naaaaa never mind.

Alright, I did it. Tomato and Cabbage soup. I liked it. Did the italian seasoning with it. I will admit every meal would get old. My son looked at it and said "what is it?" and we named it Hillbilly soup.

Sprite thanks for stopping by..... Yea it is pretty good but I sure couldn't live off of it. It's a good low calorie low fat addition to eating better.

yea it's not bad but I'm definitely adding in more foods lol....
 
Breakfast: 2 bowls of cabbage and tomato soup.
Lunch: 1 bowl of soup followed by 1 large granny smith apple.
Dinner: 1 bowl of soup.
Snack: 1 bowl of soup.
Snack: raisins, Apple.

Drinks: orange juice, black coffee, unsweetened hot tea, water.


Well as far as the first day back watching what I eat it went well. I'm not hungry and feel OK. The only thing is...........

I want some sugar.........
 
well today is going pretty well. It's just one of those days that you end up running around all day. The good news is I can go back to work on Monday. Back to work means back to walking up and down those damn fuel columns and tanks uggggg lol. well I still want some sugar but it will get worse tonight I'm sure lol.
I'm really not hungry other than I would really love some chicken or steak; I come from a long line of carnivores..........

slip in 'FRUIT LOOPS" under the fruit group lol.

work exactly?I know with the SH diet soup you can have soup anytime and like 1st day was all the veggies 2nd all the fruit 3rd fruit veggies and a baked potaoe 4th MEAT and I QUIT by the 5th lol..I went LOOOONY....

When I opened up your diary and saw that you started at 425 I immediately wanted to post a message to tell you that I knew you could lose the weight...I actually own 2 weight loss centers and have helped a few people over 400 get under 200 (It's hard to believe that I have about 80 to lose, huh?) but then I read more and see that you're doing great! I am so excited for you! I know you are in the right place and I think I am too!:grouphug:

Thank you.... yea its a struggle with a bunch of back surgeries hindering exercising but it's slowly coming off.

Tammy It's just something to fill you up instead of a huge meal. Yea I have heard of that diet but I don't think I could do it. I'm just using the soup for as many meals as I can to keep the calories down. The soup works on that diet because of cabbage and onion and tomato are all pretty low in calories. So you eat and eat and lose weight. Honestly I think it's alot of water weight though.

Hello everyone....... Well it's another day. everything is going well. No breakfast yet but then again, I didn't wake up until about 1 pm. I'll probably weigh in on Sunday to see if there is any change. Honestly I'll take a peek here in a few minutes to see if any change yet. I'll get some walking in today. The boat show is in town and that will give me the chance to walk at least 5 miles lol. Tonight I'm planning a salad at applebee's or maybe one of their weight watcher dishes. It's all up in the air. I haven't strayed on my diet except 2 glasses of sweet tea; I broke and it was that or chocolate cake lol... I don't feel bad about the sugar. Raw sugar and honey and such I don't mind. It's the complex corn syrups I'm insisting on staying away from.
