a Hillbilly diary

Hello everyone..... Thought I'd pop in for a visit. The weight just seems to keep going up but what you going to do. I'm starting to think this is just the way I'm meant to be.

Hey Handsome,

I wondered what happened to you. I had a feeling you got so caught up with the new job that you just haven't had the time to log in. As for the idea of thinking you are meant to be heavy... bah... not the case, doll. If anything, you have every right to be healthy, but as you know, it takes a lot of work and motivation. I hope you find that motivation once again and hop back on the wagon, HB. Damnitt... you're missed, Mister Man. ;) Wishing you and the family a happy holidays.

-Sheryl

Hello again everyone. Yea everything is fine just a weak moment. Yea been crazy busy at work. We are putting in about 100 hours a week so not a lot of computer time. The only good thing is the over time is really witchin...... The food has mostly been burgers and such since thats what is in the area. I'll get out and get a lunch kit so I can bring lunch and dinner with me but it's a work in progress.

{MUAHHHHHHH}

Howdy all. I'm trying to start posting again on a fairly regular schedule. It will just depend if i'm on a 12 hour shift or a 20 hour one. Today wasn't too bad. I had some sugar stuff I'm not proud of but I havent had much else so everything is ok. Not sure if I'm going just to eat healthy like before or go on some kind of pre-structured diet. Well I have a 4 am wakeup call; G'nite all.

:grouphug:You and me both...it is good to see you post agian...i couldnt even imagine working 12 hrs yet alone 20 - I work 10 hr shifts and it is insaine and sometimes I work like 20 hrs within like a 24 hr day sounds weird I know but it is dbl shifting :grouphug:good for you for being around at all with those shifts and a family!!!

Well got called in early so I guess the whole sleep thing is over rated lol. Time to inhale a pot of coffee and hit the road...... Cin...... Interesting picture........

Well havent really started a diet. I need to start but being sick and planning a vacation to new york in march everything has gotten all sidetracked lol. I'm back to the way I was before and trying to get off of the sugars but it's not an easy thing to do. I had this trouble before but when you're used to taking in sugar in some form or other every few hours it's hard just to switch it off. It's strange how easy it is to backtrack and erase all the good work you have done it what seems like a few months.

Anyway once I feel better and tax money comes in; Claim 0 throughout the year and hit them up with 5 at the end of the year, Is my little vacation fund. Anyway I have always wanted to go to new york. I have no idea why but it ain't texas thats for sure. Not sure where to go. I'm gonna skip the bronx and queens lol...... and most likely settle for a room in or around times square. We will probably stay about 4 nights so it should be a good getaway.

:hurray: OMG you can't just say "just popping in... and leave where in the heck is my HUGG????:bigear: I didn't know you were back on here again or I would have "popped"in sooner if I would have knew,I haven't been on much because I haven't been doing good at all with eating healthy actually if you call making home made (applebees blondies)and ordering and eating SWISS COLONY products eating healthy lol grrrrr that time of year.BUT the day after xmas my fatt butt is back on I done stocked my fridge freezer with HEALTHIER meals I like!!ANyway 2008 we will do it,leave the lbs behind lol.WELL HOPE YOU HAVE A NICE HOLIDAY WEEK,TAMMY

Don't hate o the bronx - some of the best italian food you'll find is on arthur avenue...queens has a ton of good ethnic joints as well...

Times Sq isn't what it used to be -it's very disneyish now but it's nice... gonna be there for new years? everyone should see the ball drop live once in their life -thogh the crowds can be a bit much...

New york is an awesome city - you should absolutely go.. .if you want suggestions of things to do and places to go - give a shout... :)

Mal I'm not sure what we want to see. A play, some good food, central park..... Don't know really new York is a whole new world...... We are going to budget about 3000.00 for the trip so after the flight and room that leaves about 1500.00ish for fun. It all really depends on which hotel. most we have looked at are 200.00 or so a night but some of them really have some nerve lol....... a travel agent might be able to do a little more but we will have to see.

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((TAMMY)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Hi ya hon................ Don't worry about the holidays; I don't really intend to do much until after :)

check with the airlines - a lot of them have package rates - and do better than the rack rate of the hotel

200 dollars a night in nyc if that's the rack rate it's flea bag and i wouldn't stay there :)

and tend to have some ofthe best rates around but AAA might help with hotels too

yea thats the low end..... it will prob cost closer to 300-400 for any place decent..........

depending on when you're actually going -spend some time checking the discounter sites like hotels.com and a few others that I'm drawing a blank on - (priceline generally doesn't qualify but i wouldn't rule them out) most hotels will beat any published rate.. so it's worth spending some time...

We aren't going until march. We are planning the 21-25. Talked to American airlines and if I buy the tickets now it's 86.00 per person each way so 86x4 so 344 plus the taxes for both of us ain't too bad but thats the budget flight so............. not too bad. We just have to decide the best way to spend about 3 days. I'm waiting on them to send me a few travel books and I'll go from there.

Today has been going well but still sick. I'll probably be going back to work tomorrow or after x-mas but it's still up in the air.......

other suggestion I'd have for you - don't l ock yourself into Laguardia or kennedy as airports -- Newark (EWR in new jersey) is spitting distance from midtown - maybe a 60 dollar cab ride though there's a bus service that runs but there'd be little difference in cost :)

Too bad you woon't be there for st patricks day - that parade is fun :D

yea these flights come in through new york so it's a search in progress. I need to find the weather and such. Here toward the end of march is in the high 80's ish so it's alot of planning.

I'm sure I will overwhelm you with stuff to do in ny but for show tickets -which can be expensive -in time square there's booth called TKTS - which is basically half price or there abouts - tickets to broadway shows -

you can only get shows day of... and you have to get there early... but if you don't have a specific show that you want to see and can stay open minded.-it ends up beinga great deal - especially for a bunch of people going...

off broadway also has some really good shows -the Roundabout theater (I think it's the american airlines theater now bt i'm not sure) is a great theater... that has a lot of shows that you've probably heard of... they tend to do revivals a lot... and it's a cool theater..
