Hello all.
Today was one of those days that I woke up under the bed and should have stayed there. Every thing has been rolling down hill it seems and the food well, haven't been very good. I got mad this morning and it just spiraled from there.

Well I feel somewhat better. Its just a bad day but not the first or last I'm sure lol.

I got that job awhile back at the plastic company and they have been putting me off on my start date. well today i got a call that since a had a GED and not a high school diploma they have decided to rescind their offer. "Oh But please check back with us after you get out of school."
oh well I still have the trip to Tulsa for the other company so things are still looking up.
 

Hillbilly Birthday Gift


"Hello, is this the FBI?"

"Yes. What do you want?"

"I'm calling to report about my neighbor, Bob Jenkins - he's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood."

"Thank you very much for the call, sir."

The next day, the FBI agents descend on Bob's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept, and bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana.

That night, the phone rings at Bob's house.

"Hey, Bob! Did the FBI come?"

"Yeah!"

"Did they chop your firewood?"

"Yep."

"Happy Birthday Buddy!"

Randy, as for the meal plans, just take it one day at a time, it sounds like you're going through a lot right now.

And one bad day isn't going to ruin the phenomenal job you've already done dude. Its just one day, one in many. (((((((Hugs)))))))

HB I hope today will be more positive for you! You take a deep breath and have a great weekend!! Hey I have a GED also! I'm not going back to high school for a diploma either! I'm 31. That's why I have a GED!:D
 
Hello all, well it's their loss. Well I had a 3 page paper due on anything I wanted to write about and I wrote about a GED in America, boy did I vent. It's strange how thinking about something burns you up but sitting down writing about it really seems to help. I know I haven't been visiting alot of diaries lately but its finals so been crazy busy lol........
 
I thought the whole point of a GED was so that you could prove you know it without having to go and waste your time in high school? Duh. Shows what they know. You're better off without them.
 
I know several people who never graduated from highschool but obtained a GED and went on to college or tech school and are WAY smarter then myslef or anyone I graduated with. I'm not the type to judge a person on what kind of papers they have backing them up, but what they can show me they can do. My own dad never finished high school, but he got his GED after serving in the army and became an airplane mechanic. I remember when I was a kid we'd all help him study for his certifications for certain types of aircrafts and he eventually went on to invent a special patch for fixing the boeing stealth bomber. Its not the papers you have, but the things you know HB. That company that didn't hire you is short one smart hillbilly now.
 
Evenin Shug!! The plastic company is out of their stinkin minds. But glad you're feeling better about it. When I'm pissed off I feel better if I just sit down and write a long rambling letter... even if it gets put in the shredder when I'm done.

HB, dude thats not cool - cant you like sue them or something? They offered you the job, they cant unoffer the job, they can only fire you or give you redundancy! thats just rude.

I know the feeling though - im only a high school dropout, no formal qualifications at all, however i have work experiance behind me and a lot of job offers all the time :D
I worked for free to get the first job experiance, that proved to heaps of people that a) i could do the job and b) i was keen to work. It went a long way :D
