a Hillbilly diary

Starbucks...now that used to be my breakfast. I've since recovered, but its a nice treat every now and then. I'll get the white chocolate mocha with soy milk and no whipped topping. Ok...'nuf of that talk, I'm wanting Starbucks now. :eek:
 
It's not the best breakfast, I was on the run....... The odd thing is I was rather surprised I wasn't tempted with the ooie gooie fraps.......
 
One think I can say about a total life eating change is it does bring things into a more sensible perspective.

It really does, doesn't it?

well today went pretty well other than a sweet tooth at 1 am. I ended up making a cup of coco pebbles and 1% milk. There was plenty of room with my daily calories so no worries other than I hate eating this late. I won't go to sleep till probably 6 or 7 am so it's not like I ate it right before bed.
One cup of cereal wow.... If you could have seen my cereal bowls pre-diet. It was enough to kill the sweet tooth so I think everything will work out ok. It still only puts me at about 2300 calories for today so I'm still ok. I really like to keep it at 2000 but it was that or sit around being hungry for the next 4 hours.
With a BMR of 4012- 2300=1712 calories short for maintaining my weight so over all it was a good day.

I wish I could have 2000 cal a day! But you are doing great. Your numbers show you are losing, and hey that's why we are here! I am very proud of you for taking control!!!

Thats the only good thing about being so large, My maintenance calories are way up there. It's gets a little harder as I lose weight and it comes down. I guess thats why the way I'm eating doesn't bother me. I can eat normal food and just watch my portions and still lose 1-2 pounds a week.
 
Breakfast/Lunch: large Latte and a sandwich at fry’s. The Latte was unflavored and the sandwich was turkey and guacamole with sprouts, lettuce, and tomato on wheat.

Dinner: Baked chicken leg quarter with a bag of frozen mixed vegetables with one Tbsp of butter. {480+240+70}
(757 calories)

Snack: Amy’s Indian Mattar Paneer.
(320 calories)

Drinks: water.
(0 calories)

Total today is: 1077 Calories + lunch which should be a total of around 1600 - 2000 calories
 
Well everything seems to be going pretty well other than the whole breakfast thing. It normally gets bad around midterm or finals but this is going to be a bad one. I wonder if it's too late to get out of electronics and get into something like underwater basket weaving lol...... Well back at school tomorrow so should be able to get a breakfast in.
My scale is calling to me but I have managed to leave it alone. I haven't had much exercise, It's just been a couch tater week. I need to get back out in the yard, I miss those losses of 4-8 pounds in one week.
I have decided to make my climb as soon as I hit 299 pounds so I might just get it in this year after all......

Why climb it???????? Because it's there and I can......
After that I hear there is a little hill someplace in California called Mt. Whitney. That one will take some training so 5 years to the day I climb Enchanted rock I'm heading for that one. Might have to get some walking tips from M first.....

I laughed so hard at this, you are so silly! I'm thinking now is the perfect time for me to go back to school as well. Perhaps they have a Ph.D. program in Underwater Basket Weaving! :p :p I'm going to look into that.
 
A girl friend of mine that I go to school with just called to remind me the tomorrow at the school is student appreciation day and there will be pizza flowing out of out ears. So I can sit and watch people eat slice after slice or leave early. Why couldn't it be anything besides pizza, And papa johns no less uggggg.

Hey hillbillylee! Just stopping by to catch up! You're doing a fantastic job. LOL, sounds like tomorrow's going to be hard for you. I love pizza but Papa John's is not one of my favorite places, too bad I couldn't trade you taste buds for a day. LOL
 
Umm...excuse me! I took underwater basket weaving and it's not as easy as it looks!

*smirks* Its funny to think that every college student has at some point in their college career has wanted to major in basket weaving!
 
No way HillBilly! You can do it! It's hard I know. Pizza is one of my favorites. I limit myself to 2 pieces. I know you have more cal. than I do, you should ok! We are cheering for you!!
 
I pulled up the calories and as long as I do a single topping with anything besides pepperoni it's about 200-350 per slice. I was thinking though there is one of those salad express places down the street. ( its one of those salad buffet places) If i just have salad and fruit and couscous or tabbouleh I can get alot more for the 600-700 calories.
 
Oooo Papa Johns... with the garlic butter for crust dipping... droooooooools.
It'll be tough but you can do it!!! :D
