A goal without a plan is just a wish...

Hey Sarah - how's your week going? Better than mine I hope. I'm sorry I haven't been more supportive this week but I'm feeling almost 100% today and feeling motivated to keep pushing forward. I'm aiming to have two great weeks with little or no cheating and lots of exercise to jump start this 10 pounds I want gone before I go and get my dress! I have been cheating enough lately and for what?? I only feel good about the indulgences for a moment and then for hours or days I feel like poo - enough is enough! I want this and I know you want it to - so lets do it!

Guess I should give an update!

Monday I never got a workout in. I was just too lazy.
Tuesday I did 40 minutes treadmil - 2 mile run and 20 minutes intervals, followed by some weight training and abs.
Wednesday I went for a run outside. I had no energy for it, there were little black bugs swarming the sidewalks, and it was a little too warm. So I totally didn't enjoy it but oh well!

My eating has been fine this week. I haven't been eating as much because I literally have nothing in my house to eat!

Today I am getting my hair colored - I'm going from blonde to brunette! I already know I'm going to miss my blonde soo much but it's too hard to maintain. I'm excited for a change! I also have an interview at 4 tonight for a summer day camp instructor. I hope I get the job! I want to be more active this summer and this would be the perfect opportunity!

That's all folks... I'll be back in the morning with my weigh in.
~ Sarah

Eating is good, exercise looks good - sounds like a good week! Brunette's have way more fun anyway so don't worry about missing the blond! Good luck on your interview and I'm crossing my fingers for your weigh-in tomorrow. I officially declare today the start of kick ass week!! I'm going to kick some butt this week and get back down to 145!!! Feeling lots of momentum and would love to have you on my side! Cheers!

Hey Sara I am sure your weight in will be great!!!! I am trying to from blond to red but the blond keeps comming back!! I am sure you will love being a brunette.

Brunettes do have that much more fun!!! ;) :cheers2:!! I have these blonde strips in my hair right now and they are VERY ugly once the roots start coming out. And I'm definitely not the type of person that goes to the salon every 2 months or 3 months to drop $200 on a hair style  ..Woa!! ...I like to go for it for $10!! hahah ;) ...

...You are gonna have that PAZAAZ look going on!! Can't wait for pics! :drool5:!

...As for your eating. Good job!..And as for your exercise...I can't wait to see you smash some pounds this weigh in! Sometimes letting up a little causes that muscle composure change and let's the body catch up to all the previous hard work. So let's see....

..Are you taking measurements of yourself, since at this point your body fat percentage is lower? I'm sure you are changing more muscle mass wise instead of pounds at this point...It'd be interesting to see. :D!

..Alright woman!! Kick ass this week!!! I'm coming for your CONSISTENCY shot!!! :cheers2:!!!

So I was really hoping for a better weigh in but I guess it was bound to happen that I WOULDN'T have a good one :banghead:

I barely ate at all yesterday the whoooole day so by the time I met my parents out for dinner, I ate way too much. And it was all bad for me. I ate soo many french fries and macaroni and cheese bites (deep fried mac n cheese!) and THEN I got a buffalo ranch chicken wrap. WHAT THE HELL SARAH :banghead:

Stepped on the scale this morning and it said 137.6 - which would be 0.4 lbs up since last friday. Not TOO big of a number, but if I wouldn't have ate all that salty, greasy shit then maybe I would have seen a loss! Grr. Oh well.

I need to stock up my house with food again - I was probably going low on calories since I wasn't eating much this week and I think that kicked me in the ass.

OK - workout time! And yes I'm ready for a good week! OH and here is the new do! :)

That is a gorgeous picture of you!!! Brown hair totally suits you - those blue eyes just pop!! You could totally be a model! Don't worry about the weigh-in I'm sure it's mostly water retention - just means you are going to drop 2 pounds or more next week!! Let's kick some ass - I'm feeling great about the week ahead - let's do it!! Half marathon is getting closer so step it up!!
Have an amazing healthy weekend and burn some major calories!! Chat Monday :seeya:

Aw thank you Lisa! Did you notice we're exactly 10 pounds apart? (Did you notice how much more ASS you're kicking than me because I can't seem to shake this weight and you are on a roll!?!?) LOL so I say we make a goal together to lose 2 pounds for next week's weigh in. Let's do it!!!!

I only lost 0.2 pounds this week - I barely call that kicking ass! 10 pounds is exciting though! Yes I totally agree with that goal! We are going to lose at least 2 pounds next week!! I'm ready!!

Hair looks FANTASTIC!!! And...now if next week, you could be at 135, Lisa at 145, and me at 155 lbs!! I'd be exstatic!!! :D!

And then I envision a 20lb LOSS in ONE week!!! LMAO!!!! hahaha.....fuck this.

I'm fixing that "Elevator" to SUCCESS today!!! hahah....the "stairs to Success" got my ass SORE! **wink Wink**

...That food sounds like you went crazy!!! I notice the same thing as well...if you don't eat enough before dinner, ...then it all goes to waste and you end up pigging out. Take your ass shopping Sarah!!! Love ya! Have a great weekend! Smash some pounds!

Love the brown hair!!!! Don't worry about yesterday it happened it's over time to move on!!!! You will do great next week!

Agree with the comment that you could be a model! You're stunning! Love the hair. You're an inch taller than me but you look so much better at your current weight than I ever did! Am bookmarking your diary now. :)

Brown hair really suits you! Makes your eyes pop! I'm a blonde but I'd love to have dark hair like that--really suits you!!

Enough is enough.

I came to realize today that I have sort of "fell off the wagon" in my weight loss journey. I'm no where near my goal weight. In fact, I have gone backwards. I don't feel good about myself anymore. I don't like the way I look, and I'm not even doing anything about it.

It's time to do something about it before I get back to where I started.

And so it begins. My ass is waking up every morning bright and early and going to the gym like I used to! I'm going to track my calories again. I'm going to slow it down on the partying. No more eating out. I HAVE to be strict with myself again. I want my confidence back.

No more bullshitting, guys. I made this new journal to start my "new" journey. I have made no progress whatsoever. I'm determined as all hell to get to where I want to be. THIS IS IT!

I had that same exact talk with myself yesterday! It's hard when you go backwards a bit, because I found myself thinking "Damn, this is the weight I was at in December," and if I just do perfect for 4 weeks I can get back to where I was. All that negative talk just got to me and I said, Fuck this! Who cares where I used to be, how or why I fell off. Just do whatever you have to in order to reach your goal! So I told my boss and family that I've been putting work and family first, but now that it's race season I'm putting my running first.

Cause you can't move forward if you're constantly looking backwards, right?

But then again, I'm like 300 lbs and you're looking amazing so we're at slightly different points in our journey.

RIGHT. I totally agree with you - it's not about where you used to be or what happened along the way. It's about moving forward and focusing on the progress that's happening now. I'm happy for you that you are putting yourself first again! Thanks for sticking around and helping me stay motivated!

I feel great.
This morning, I got up and headed to the gym. It was much easier than I thought, I think it's because the sun is rising sooner! I really enjoyed getting my workout in this morning so it's out of the way and I don't have to contemplate later if I want to go or not.
I got on the treadmill, walked 5 minutes for warm up, ran for 20, and walked 5 more to cool down. I did a total of 2.9 miles. Then I did some weight training and abs to wrap it up.
Before the gym, I ate a Special K bar (90 cal). For breakfast after the gym, I had a bowl of lower sugar maple and brown sugar oatmeal (130 cal) and a small banana (100 cal).

I am back and ready to BRING IT!!! I feel like this is for real now. No more going back and forth. I'm only moving forward from here!

Happy Monday everyone!

 Yes I am so glad to have you back!! I'm ready too!! Glad you made some realizations this weekend! I think the weather might have something to do with it too! Let's rock it this week Sarah! We are getting closer and closer to our goals so it's time to push it even harder! Make sure you keep caught up with your school work too so that you don't have extra stresses!

Your diary is so motivating!!!! Congrats on getting to the gym this morning

Like I've said many times before, I wish I cared as much about school work as I do about my health! I have so much school work this week and next week, I can't even wrap my head around the fact that there are only 3 weeks of classes left for me! So much to catch up on. But at the same time, getting back on track with my exercising/eating keeps me organized and makes me feel good, and I think that affects everything else. When I'm not keeping track and slacking, I'm just overall lazy and can't get ANYTHING done! I feel so excited though to get back to business - we are gonna be some hot mama's for summer! :D

Thanks! I wish I saw it as more motivating... I feel like I lost some of that somewhere along the way... but it's definitely coming back! Thanks for stopping by :)

Monday = awesome.

Snack - Special K Bar (90 cal)
Breakfast - Oatmeal (130 cal), banana (100 cal)
Snack - Yogurt (110 cal)
Lunch - Egg & cheese english muffin (225 cal), mixed fruit (50 cal)
Snack - Salad (70 cal)
Dinner - Chicken (110 cal), mixed veggies (50 cal)
Dessert - Fiber One bar (140 cal)
= 1, 075 calories

Quite LOW, but considering the amount of calories I consumed this weekend, I think that's just fine! I feel really great that I ate healthy all day and didn't go over on calories. Excited to do it all over again tomorrow :D

Goodnight,
~ Sarah

Good morning :)

Made it to the gym again this morning! I love it, wish I never stopped going so early! I did 36 minutes on the treadmill which included a 0.15 mile walking warm up, 1 mile run @ 6.5 mph, 20 minutes intervals (1 min run @ 7.0 mph / 1 min walk @ 4.0 mph) and cooled down with another 0.15 mile walking. I didn't do any weight training or abs today - that will be tomorrow!

My breakfast is a little heavy on calories today but I wanted something to keep me full til lunch time! I made an egg and cheese sandwich on a whole wheat english muffin (225 cal) and a peanut butter and banana smoothie (250 cal). Gotta get that protein to build some strong muscles! So this puts me at 475 calories for the day. If I need to snack before lunch, I will have some mixed fruit (50 cal) so I'll still be on track if by the time lunch is over I'm around 800 calories or so!

I have a LOT of work to do today for school and I just realized last night exactly HOW MUCH I have to do in these next few weeks. Time to start prioritizing!
