a few questions for getin back in to the game

hey guys i know i hav'ent been on in a while so here's my problem. i planed on takein a week or two off one thing lead to another and i stoped for like a month and a half. i'm eatin so evil foods like there nothin and it need to stop, i bought some weight and a basketball imma gonna start playin basketball and liftin again. what would be a good routein to follow for a few weeks, and how should i start eatin better again please help thanks alot

p.s and i have another question i have much less energy since a while is it ok for me to drink an energy drink called monster or are those just junk thanks alot for any replay.

Well you are aware youre eating badly which gives you a headstart over most people.

I would say instead of cutting out all the crap, start adding tonnes of fruit and veg. Fruit and veg will fill you up, have very little calories and supply nutrients. If you do this youre cravings and hunger will gradually erode and you can then start to remove the junk.

Secondly, you are lucky enough to have an active hobby you enjoy- utilise it! Get out and play BBall everyday. Join a team if you dont already play- this will make you train even harder. As for strength, it depends what you want. If you want raw strength, read Power to the People by Pavel Tsatsouline. If you want to get bigger then find a top bodybuilding book (not my forte so I cant recommend one).
