A deadlift question.

iv heard that deadlifts are good for helping to loose fat and gain muscle around ur abs and sides, apparently they are used for "stabitity". is this true?

the deadlifts use ur lower back as synergists as abs are more used as a stabilizer. so yes it is ture.
Any exercise wil help you lose weight and gain muscle. The deadlift is considered the king of all mass muscle building exercises. It works legs, lower back, abs, upeerback, and shoulders. But lower back and hamstrings mostly. All the others are assistance and stablizers.

ok, so in terms of workouts that help loose fat around the Abs is the deadlift a good one?

No exercise will help you loose fat around any specific area. example, You can not just do 500 bicep curls a day and expect fat to go away from your arms. What you want is something called "Spot reducing" which is a MYTH that is NOT true. You can NOT spot reduce.

Yea, Silent is right on. Losing fat is so much more than weight lifting, it's all about what you are eating. Regardless, I'd recommend deadlifts to every single person serious about health and body composition...

as they said it will help you lose fat just as long as you eat right. and do a workout pl;us some cardio i would suggest.
