Hi Everyone,
I'm back from Wine Club, and I didn't even have Wine  Really, it's just too hot for me to want or enjoy any wine when the only thing that sounds good in the heat is water :D

As for the meal deal, I have no way of counting up the calories - if anyone has any ideas, I'll be glad to hear it!

I had:
4 small rounds (1.25 inc diamter) of bagguette bread, 2 with a slice of harvarti type cheese. (domino size and shape)
The only salad I ate was the one I brought which was a Broccoli salad from CostCo - with everything in it, the calorie content said 130 for a C. I might have had a cup to 1.5 C (it was good and filled most my plate.) Of the 3 casseroles, one was chicken, cream of mushroom soup with dollops of bisquick mix on top - I had a small bit of chicken, 2-3 oz maybe (bigger than a golf ball but smaller then ummm..an apple) and 1 to 2 TBS of the other ones, one was a chicken rice dish with no cheese, the other was a shepherd pie type dish - I know I didn't have more than 2 TBS of both of those.

My plate was mostly my broccoli salad.

So I feel good, full, passed on the deserts since I didn't know how many calories I had and overall feel like I held it together for another day :D

I won't be getting to diaries tonight, but I'll catch up over the next couple of days. Things will be hectic here until Monday, so I hope to catch up little bits by then.

Hope you're all doing well, and I look forward to getting to your diaries!

Good Morning :D

I just got back from a 2.2 mile walk (first time I've added a morning walk!) I'm going to grab a yogurt and some strawberries and have to head out for most of the day.

I'll catch you guys later!

what a healthy start!! model "thin"izen (okay that was supposed to be a spinoff of the word citizen..i tried..it sounds more like a lisp or something)

i haven't gotten a chance to try out the new website because i've been so busy..i'll probaby end up doing it sometime this evening and let you know what happens!! thanks for it, its amazing!

oh and CONGRATS on your food choices at that wine dine there!! i would not have been able to resist that dessert but you did and thats awesome! also, cheese and bread is my weakness. french baguettes and brie are heavenly to me mmm. good thing i'm super full off the SMOOTHIE i just made which turned out to be delicious and SO filling..try it out:
1/4th cup vanilla nonfat yogurt (20 cal)
1/4th cup "half the cal and sugar" OJ from Tropicana (13)
1 scoop Designer Whey French Vanilla Protein Powder (90)
3 strawberries (12)
1 tsp honey (5)
bunch o' ice (ZERO!)

SO filling because of the protein powder, which also makes it more thick. and you can't taste the protein that much either bc the vanilla taste kind of blends in with the vanilla yogurt taste so its not icky at all. i'm so full right now, nothing ever does that to me lol. hope your smoothie concoctions are going well also! xoxoxox

You are really doing great. It is so hard to go to events and figure out what to eat. I think you had the math wrong on the wine party. 620 calories left means you could have 8.26 glasses of wine!

Have a wonderful weekend.

Congratulations on the size 18s! I am looking forward to being able to wear capris, but I just don't think I look good in them yet. Way to go on not having the wine! You don't need to be slowing down your metabolism anyway. ;)

I think you did a really good job at your party- those type of events are really hard to control (i.e.: Me and my dove bar yesterday)

hey

Okay, here's my report. Down 2 for the week. I'm sick with a stomach thing today, though, so we'll just have to see if those 2 pounds stay gone. Good luck with your weigh-in tomorrow.

Wow, you did great at the Wine Party. That's inspirational for me because I have to go to a wedding tomorrow. Why is that fun events revolve around food? It makes me feel sometimes like I don't want to leave the house until I've finished losing. Yikes!!!!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Hi Everyone,
I've been gone from yesterday morning until tonight and I wasn't able to count calories very well while I was out so I have no idea. I do know I ate alright, but I would imagine the calories were in the 1500 range. It's my TOM, and I feel bloated, and generally gain weight, so I'm not too excited about stepping on that scale tomorrow.

It's unbearably hot here, so I have been drinking water.

I'm off to go read diaries now and catch up - hope you guys are all doing well :D

drink lots of water to help with the bloating and the dehydration.
one way to keep cool is to hop into the shower and quickly out. It'll refresh you and you'll cool down immediately. :)

Well...Twinmom, you are officially in the lead ;)

I won't be moving my ticker today. Still at 230. I was really hoping to break out of the 230's this week. I'll just have to wait until next week to do it. Earlier in the week I was at 229, so I figured I had a good chance of staying there despite my TOM, but that didn't happen.

OK, back to logging calories (I've slacked the last two days) - I have some catching up to do!!

Hope you all have a good weekend.

Awww

Awww, I am sorry. I know that is frustrating, but you will probably drop three pounds mid-week when you lose the period bloat! :) Stay strong. We have 7 1/2 weeks until August 23! (That was our date, wasn't it?)

quick note before i have to jet--its a super busy day. i'm cleaning and maintaining a household..this is hard stuff

BUT

i downloaded TWO live concerts from dmb from the 23rd and 7th of june. they're umm AMAZING. THANK YOU for showing me that website its awesome! and i just learned that i could plug my ipod into my dad's computer speakers downstairs that are really nice and fancy, so i can listen to dave while cooking or doing kitchen stuff

life. is. sweet.

i'll be back later though!! xoxoxoxox

Hey M2M, how about passing some of that discipline and commitment in this direction :D I could really use some to help me stay on track!!

I am so sure that when you weigh next week you will have a tremendous drop, like has been discussed your TOTM can put 5lbs of water weight on you. I bet it will be one of those times when you are actually shocked by what you see. I am super confident of this, you have been soooooo good ;)

Hey there! Just stopping by to see how your day is going. TOM sucks. :(. I feel for you. Don't worry too much though...it throws most of us out of whack as well! Take care!

Hi Everyone,
Pineola, you're right, staying the same beats going up - but when you're thinking you'll drop 2 and end up losing none, well, it's definitely annoying!

Today wasn't that great either. My daughter had a swim meet, and we hosted, so I ended up working in the snack bar. I was there at 7:00 am, and left at 4:00, it was so hot and I didn't "bring" food :(

I know I snagged about 4-5 link sausages, about a 1/4 cup to 1/2 of hash browns, then I snacked on white meat chicken with terryaki sauce - maybe 1/2 cup to a cup total. I also had two gatorades, at least 2 DIET :( sodas and two waters. Not exactly my healthiest of days. I quit eating around 3:00, and hopefully, the amount of work I did will go towards getting rid of those sausages!

Tomorrow I'll be spending 7 hours at a water park for my daughter's friend's birthday. You're not "allowed" to bring food in - so I'm not sure what I'll do.

My plan for now is to have a full/good size breakfast and put a power bar in my bag and stick to water the rest of the day. Walking around an amusement type park in my bathing suit is not what I consider a good time though ;)

I find I really do better with a plan in place and when I don't have a plan, I'm much more likely to not make healthy choices.

Twinmom, where are we hoping to be by 23 August, I don't remember the total.

Summer, I'm glad you were able to download the concerts :D My Dave Season is the 25-27th of August.

Avajayne, thanks for stopping by my journal :) And you're right, this does through my system out of whack.

And Mrs. B - I would LOVE to get on the scale next Saturday and see a 5 pound drop due to the excess water weight gain this week - although it seems unlikely, I've been sweating like crazy, so I'm sure I'm getting rid of some of it already!

Off to go read journals :)

August 23

We are shooting ambitiously for 210 by August 23. :)

Hey, you might call ahead to the water park and ask them if you can bring your own snacks because of food allergies. I bet they will say it is okay. A little white lie, but in this case, I think it is forgivable!

Have fun, and don't forget your sunscreen!

I'll give it a try Twin, but I've heard some negative things about this place and food - so we'll see.

As for sunscreen, we're a family of freckled, red heads, we don't leave home without it!!
