:)

I must amuse the gardners to no end!

Hey, at least you can half ass them! You'll be pro at them in no time if you keep on trying!

Evening M2M, I finally got my extra computer up and running, now I can log in some nights and catch up. You know those teens spend several hours a day playing thier online games. HAHAHA, thank goodness for guitar lessons and girlfriends, or I would never get them out of the house. LOL Well, I wanted to say hello and I hope your having a good evening!
Kim

Hi Debi,

I'm finally learning about this site and I am ready to start counting calories!!! Do you use a particular website that has the calories listed for certain foods? I need to figure out how many calories I can have per day and how much exercise I need so I can burn those calories and loose these stubborn 10 lbs or so. I think that I would like to get to 135 but at least 140 by the time I go camping and Mexico. This is going to require some serious work but I feel ready. Since I am not counting calories, I tend to eat too much. That is why I am not loosing. I am pretty darn sure that it is not because I am on a plateau. So, any suggestions?

Ok - I'm back from my wine club and I only had one beer :D I have no idea what kind of wines were being served ;)

Calories were light, I went in being able to have 1000 or so and and didn't have all that much - I ate salad and the pasta dish I brought so I hate trying to figure calories like this but I feel good about it :D

Risty & Kim, Thanks for stopping by and I'll catch up with you guys soon!

DEANNNNNNEEEEE!
(Everyone, this is one of my closest IRL friends - One of the Graces)

I'm so glad you joined the forum! You can definitely kick these last 10 pounds or so - you've come this far haven't you? :)

I use Free Diet Plans at SparkPeople to track my calories and fitness - it takes time exploring the site, but you'll figure it out.

Remember, maintenance is supposed to be *around* 15 calories per pound of body weight - so a healthy loss would be to put your caloric range in the 10-12 calories per pound. Don't go by the caloric range at sparkpeople.com

That should get you started, create a new thread in the diary section that is Your Diary, then go into other diaries and get to know people - there are people here who have done AMAZING things transforming their bodies!

Steph and I are going to Anza Borrego tomorrow to go hiking, and I work on Friday - I can't wait to go to the School of Rock party at your house Saturday night!! If you have any questions between now and then, go see Maleficent - she doesn't bite too hard and she only charges a nominal fee for question answering :)

If you need fitness/weight training questions answered go see Steve in the diary that's called a A Journey, Not a Destination

I've got to hit the sack, leaving by 5:30ish tomorrow!

Good Night Everyone :)

aww half press ups. i used to hate doing those - my shoulders used to absolutely cain afterwards. maybe we should start a challenge with half press ups...
nightienight! xx

hello Debi :D

funny about the beer in wine house. i did the same thing in spain once hehe, but i bought some wine, so they didn't look at me the funny way.
what's cooking today btw? any roasted veggies in mind?

Goood Morning :)

No roasted vegies today - I'm up early (4:13 am here) in order to pack our food for today - I plan on taking lots of fruit & water ;)

We're going hikining Anza-Borrego Desert State Park - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia It's a good 2.5 hours away and it's only a day trip, so we've got to get an early start :) We normally camp there every year, but this year because of scheduling conflicts we couldn't do it - so we're heading out for a one day hike - it's going to be HOT there today - about 90 degrees!

Wow, have fun during your hike. Take some pics please, I've never seen a Desert State Park it sounds so exotic.

wow that park looks great :D and enjoy that hike. i wish i could come with you :D
have fun and some tan lol

a big hug to you
Lena

Thanks you guys - the place really is amazing with SO many different types of topography - makes for such a beautiful place to camp, so only going for the day is almost heart breaking - knowing we can't see and do it all.

The main plan is to hike up to the Oasis :)

I have 247oz of water packed for Megan and I - that *should* be enough LOL!

Have fun Debi...more in my neck of the woods (so to speak) Anza Borrego is not far for us....we have camped there. It should be beautiful down there....blooming flowers! Have a wonderful day!

I hope you have fun with your hiking! I wanna do some hiking in the summer, however it's really hard for me. Me + hills are not the best of friends! However, it would be a great workout.

HI M........happy luchtime to you!!! lol

Hey girlfriend thanks for the info. I will get started on it. I will also start my own diary once I figure it all out and have a little more time (probably after the School of Rock thing this Saturday). I am so glad you are coming.

I am looking forward to meeting some of your friends here. I hear such great things about them. I am totally impressed with all of you on this forum and I hope to learn things from you guys. I know that 10 lbs. probably seems so measely to many of you, and well, you are right, it is. I have been about 30 to 40 lbs overweight most of my adult life and I just really want to do this. I am a determined woman. Like Debi, I turned 40 this year and I feel that it is time to take control of this and be the best Deanne I can be.

Ooooh! I love your IRL friend! She has the same name as me!! That's enough to make her awesome. :)
