A Day In The Life of m2m :)

Thanks Tom
I've been inspired (looks pointedly at Maleficent) to eat more fresh foods and less prepackaged convenience foods. I'm really trying!

I just went for another walk - 3.23 miles 34.50 minutes 10.68 minutes per mile.

I came across two teens on the back trail with air rifles. I stopped them and told them that last Sunday a cop stopped me and asked if I had seen anyone with guns on the trail - I told the teens the cops would confiscate their weapons and to be careful.

Then I had to walk the rest of the trail with them behind me (Joy!) I'm glad I was "nice" but firm enough to let them know they stood to lose their guns.

Deb, I swear you walk as fast as I jog. You must be some sort of speed walker. Sounds like you handled the situation with those kids perfectly.

Thought i would drop in and say good morning M2M have a great day...I should prob make more of a point in stopping by after all you are in my subscription list - ha ha ha - your menu looks good - what are pine nuts ???

Good Morning Friend, I hope you finally got that garlic smell out of the house. :D Your Refridge looks cute, I remember when mine looked that way, however teenagers rarely draw for me anymore. Boo-hoo!!:( Oh well, it's full of other crap now, like remember when the next CPR class is, remember when your car tag is due, and remember to remember to look on there every week, to keep up. HAHAHA HAve a great day today. And keep up that walking girl, that's great!
Kim

Good morning everyone,

I have a Mom's Night Out (MNO) with my girl friends tonight, so I had to plan my daily menu backwards. We'll see how well I follow through the "Plan"

Steve - no problem about renaming that thread - although it took an act of congress for me to do it, I'm not sure what I was doing wrong!

Kim - the SIDE of my fridge sounds like the front of yours ;)

Tom - for me to get in the 10 minute range, there is a little bit of jogging involved - not much though. I can *walk* no jog an 11 minute mile pretty easily though - provided I'm not listening to Moby Dick ;)

Cerella, Pine nuts are edible seeds from pine trees - they are delicious!

Good Morning

Your food looks great!! Please come to my house and share with me. :D Shh! Don't tell my hubby he might get jealous. He is the Cook in the family. Don't getme wrong he is a AWESOME cook but he hardly wants to cook now because of his hours at work.

Anyhow, Looking good. Keep it up. Have a Wonderful Day and drink your WATER!!!

Yeah - I wasn't about to piss those kids off too much then give them a waddling target LOL!

And hi JB88!!

I missed this...

Pine Nut Cookies???

easiest cookie in the world to make :) not health food but incredibly good

Pignoli Nut Cookies
Ingredients:
1-1/2 pounds of almond paste- cut into chunks
1-1/2 cups sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
4 egg whites
2 cups of pine nuts

Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the almond paste, sugars, and egg whites on low until well blended. Mix for an additional 2 minutes. Roll into 1" balls then dip into the nuts. (Wet your hands to avoid sticking.) Place 2 inches a[art on a cookie sheet that has been lined with parchment paper or wax paper. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden on sides. Remove from paper from the pan and let the cookies cool on paper. When cooled, peel off the paper.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

the cookies end up being soft and chewy and incredibly good.

I would not worry that the people around you have not noticed your wight loss yet when people see you alot it is harder to tell the diffrence 24lb is 24 ln someone who has not seen you in awile could probebly tell the diffrence and in the mean time you are getting healthy at some point they will have to notice and as you get smaller the lb seem to make a bigger diffrence

Mal - I couldn't imagine how much those cookies would cost to make! Pine nuts are NOT cheap!

Rachie - good to see you posting!

the area in new jersey i lived in use to have pine nuts fairly cheapy - and theitaliann bakery on the corner would sell the cookies :) sooo delicious :)

the almond paste isn't cheap either.. better to find an italian baker and buy 1 :)

Hey, thanks for the recipe mal! I should make them one day and bring some to my grandparents (they're Italian and I know they like pine nuts.) I'm sure they'd enjoy it!

M2M good job on the exercises! I was thinking about getting jump rope. It would be good to do on my resistance training days I think. On my CK days I have enough of the boxer's skip, lol.

Mal - they're ridiculously expensive here!

So I'm going out with my girlfriends tonight, so I've planned my whole day and menu already.

I'm not altogether pleased about this though...I swear it's better to eat MORE at home then to eat LESS because of restaurant food ;) Although, I did already factor in two Guinness for the evening!

Are you gals going out just to eat and socialize? Or is some dancing involved?? I'm sure you will do just fine, because you are so disciplined!!
