So...I went to bed last night and remembered that T2 said something that at the time, I didn't respond to - but thinking about his words, I knew I had to go back and snag 'em...

Learning to close the game was the #1 reason I was able to learn how to win at chess. It's the truth for everything we do.

learnng how to think 5 moves ahead was how I learned how to get better at chess and not just play my turn - always looking a few moves ahead -and it's true in this game too...

For all the lack of self confidence I demonstrate -one thing that I have never wavered on is the belief in myself that I will get to my goal...

And that's exactly what will get you through times where the weight loss slows. The knowledge that you'll get to your goal and like M2M said, closers win the race :)
 
oh i go thru moments of utter frustration and I reserve the right to whine about it in my diary - but I also know that Im not giving up and I will get there and I will do that naked walk down fifth avenue :)

Slow weight loss is alright (or so I'm learning), so long as I know I'm still WORKING on a better body, it's all good :)

That's some quality motivational speaking there, folks. Thanks for those words. It's strange how the conversation jumped from woodshed spankings to sincere words of encouragement. Heehee. I love this place.
