Mal - it was 8.5 split up...it's hard to believe I regularly used to do 13! Seems I can't go there right now but 3-5 keeps me energized!

13 miles is a heck of a lot but you're going to get there! 8.5 split up is awesome! Keep it up speedy, keep it up :)

b eing energizes is a good thing - you're running now instead of walking so you're probably working harder in less time - which is a good thing

well done

Well the goal is still to finish a half marathon at some point :)

Granted, after looking at Steve's pictures of marathoners vs sprinters...yowza!

running a half marathon for fun is a lot different than competitive marathoners - the chicago, los angeles and new york marathons are run by regular people - not always world class athletes... the regular don't win but they finish... and they have bodies like yours :)

yeah no kidding... ug, saggy was not what I was going for.

You know there is plenty of time to train for the 1/2 at Disney next January! :) At least I am hoping there is.....

Good luck. Active.com has a great list of local, regional & other events.

Ok just remembered you are in Cali so would probably go to the one at Disneyland not Walt Disney World.... which BYW the half at Disneyland is Sept 3rd.

The one at WDW is in Jan so I still have time to get it down pat & hopefully avoid the sagginess along the way.

LOL at the sagginess factor!

And you know...I'll run past a flat chested woman, and can't help but think some evil thoughts about how lucky she is ;)

I'm mean though!

I'd kill to be flat chested :) to have a bra be an optional item of clothing would be so wonderful - heck you can always stuff if need be :)

Cool. A half-marathon. There's one around here in September and I am thinking about entering :) I know what you mean about flat-chested women. Sometimes I wonder if I could run a lot faster if I didn't have mine to contend with. I mean, it can't be good for aerodynamics right?! :)

M2M- you are such a great inspiration.. to me especially.. after 82 pounds gone i'm sure you'll have the will power and motivation to run your half-marathon. i can see you doing it!!

you're making me want to run one too. besides i have no boobs :D

Oh I will strap the gals down with a sportsbra.. just take away the tire around the waist that jiggles & I feel makes me lose my balance some.

The gals can stay... they have gotten me free drinks, doors openned, etc. (amazing what a nice Vneck shirt will do to change the attitudes of many guys) & just think how much others pay to get them. I'm greatful for what I have.... just want to sculpt up other places.

ah so you were the chick in front of me at subway yesterday who had the gals on display and breathing was causing them to jiggle :) she never did pay for her sammich... I gotta start flashing or something :)

Well figures if a guy is going to be goofy enough to act like a moron at the first sight of a lil cleavage... why not let them be goofy.

& I don't flash for food.... ;P Sounds like a bumper sticker! lol

Yes, ok, there are some fringe benefits...

Remember Palm Springs a couple of weeks ago? I think I paid for one drink all weekend LOL!

However...I go running EVERY day. I don't go drinking every day (thank god!) ;)

Ashanta, If you have no chest you NEED to run - it's only fair, right and good to take advantage of what isn't in your way!!

:)

And looking at your ticker girl - you too are an inspiration!! You've past the 50 mark!!

Drinks? It's only 8:27 am here...and I haven't had my run yet - I can't have drinks YET!

Geesh!
