A Day in the life...be4BELA Diary

So weekends are a big challange and so is everyday life, going to work, eating right (during the week) than not eating so well when we go out. Gym today - good workout. Seems that the biggest challenge is getting to the gym - once I am their than it goes well. Emotional well being is getting much better - happy family life - sorting that out is much less stress and I am definately happier now.

Pineola - thanks for the tip - I really like peanut butter - but not so much bread - so I will try the waffles.

Hi B4....tracking your goals with inches is a great way to do it. Don't be afraid of a little chocolate. I eat it 3-4 times a week. I just have a little piece. Tonight I had a bar that said 1 serving was 3 squares. I just had one square so it is only 70 calories. If I had to deprive myself of everything I wouldn't be able to continue losing weight. I would get really frustrated. It was tricky at first as I am such a binger. I just had to tell myself that I was going to be allowed this, but in small doses and if I can't leave it alone then I can't have it in the house. It's tough love...but I need my chocolate.

So today was bad - insulted my BF, and hurt his feelings because I was worried that he doesn't want me than after work I ate a chocolate bar - now I came home instead of going to the gym and am desperately fighting the urge to eat all the ice cream and cry! I sometimes think that I am getting more self esteem than a small trivial thing happens and I take it the wrong way and feel like a big fat cow...I don't think that I will ever like myself! What's wrong with me...

Nothing wrong with you girl!!
You need to snap out of it! YOU have a beautiful daughter and you sound like a great Mommy! Your relationship with others is based on how you feel about yourself! So keep working out and feeling good about YOU and the rest will fall into place!
You need to appologize to your BF and you will feel better too;) !! SMILE! I was enjoying your diary and would love to continue reading it.:D

Thank you for the Post Ciaoana! Yeah I jumped to conclusions too quickly and tend to get reactive. Thanks for the compliments.

Busy Busy lately - not so much at the gym but alot of swimming with our girls and stuff. Eating out far too much and not eating the greatest things. Not sleeping enough - life tends to get very hectic. Trying to balance everything and work on the BF relationship. Still eating very healthy @ work and breakfast through the week. Need too prepare ahead for the dinner meals or find ideas for quick meals that suits the BF, Bela and myself - that is the challenge!

Glad you are feeling better. These situations always feel worse than they are in the heat of the moment. Try not to eat to overcome stress. It doesn't really work and then you just are pissed at yourself.

Planning meals ahead is crucial when you are busy. Have a great weekend.

Busy weekend planned - Rib Fest and lots of walking around - hopefully dancing at a club with BF on Saturday (grandma weekend) Eating really well during the day - saw a post by Summer about the goal of a Belly ring and I remember how much I liked mine - gone now due to huge pregnant belly and never put back. Still striving for the weight loss but also working on the "6 PACK" I know it's under there somewhere - I am going to treat myself to re-piercing my belly @ 105lbs!

Slipping on the eating breakfast before I leave for work - will try the peanut butter and waffles for the week. ( Typed here so that I do it for certain!)

YOGA - anyone really into it and will it help?

Pineola - thanks for keeping an eye out and encouraging me on!

Hi be4,
Just popping in to see how you're doing!
I have a friend who has been doing yoga for a long time and LOVES it. I did it once (while injured) and couldn't walk afterwards - I don't think I gave it a fair shot ;)

Hope you have a great weekend!

Thanks for checking in M2M - will be trying the YOGA @ the Y this week.

Eating out far too much on the weekends - and not getting to the "traditional" workout - staying very active though. Having fun with family. Camping trip planned for September long weekend - want to loose 5lbs by the 31 of August - not sure what I weigh now - will do that tomorrow than aim for 5lbs, haven't been comfortable in a bikini in 4 years - what a shame! We started a supplement program to help both of us get back in the tight and toned shape - he's closer to his goals than mine - it's great that we are in this together again. Actually wore a mini skirt out last night - felt a little awkward but felt good about myself! BF is on the radio and playing lots of TEMPO music - signing out to do some floor exercises.

Good for you girl for that mini skirt!!

Life is too short to wait until...

Even though we're working towards a healthier future for ourselves, we are still living TODAY.

A day of relaxing - hanging out here - these are the days where I do not eat so well - skip a good breakfast - laze around - but I figure I am new to the whole eating healthy - exercise every day thing and building new habits takes time. So things have been going better - like the relationship, eating well through the work week, daughter is finally potty trained - that was a source of great stress - me not her.

List of goals for August:

  • Lose 5 - 7lbs - through better eating & a new supplement system that the BF and I are trying
  • Eat well on weekends
  • Eat out only once a week max
  • Do some type of exercise everyday! Even if it is only floor exercises.
  • Track how well I am doing in my journal daily

The BF is going to the same gym (other membership expired) so that also helps with a partner to motivate. He is on afternoons for the next 2 weeks so maybe we can set up a challenge between us - who can last longer on the epiliptic machine (damn spelling - can never remember that sp!) Hey that is a good idea - I am going to ask him later....

Hey girl!! You can do it! Having your BF work out with you should be great, I HAVE to have some external motivators...I know I've said it a million times but the "girls" down at Curves really do keep me going.

As for the six pack, I want one SOO bad. I've never had one and right now I have a two pack. :p Gotta keep working on the other four! lol I also want a belly ring, if I get my 6 pack I'll treat myself! :D

BTW, what supplement are you going to start using?

PS ... I know how stressful the potty training days can be, CONGRATS on the milestone! :)

Some great goals you've set for yourself... don't beat yourself up for having the lazy days.... just as long as you don't have too many it's more that all right. Try not to overwork your self.... if you work out too much you can burn yourself out... that's where the lazy days sneak up more often.

Best of luck to you!

Good Luck with those goals, b4. Sounds very reasonable. Everyone needs a lazy day now and again. Have a great week.

Those are some great goals for August!

And successful potty training is a life-altering accomplishment..woohoo!

Keep up the good work and remain focused (though you seem to do a great job of that with your book!). :)

Exercised @ home - 30 minutes, Abs, Legs, Glutes - ate well today - Peanut Butter waffle for breakfast. Gym tommorrow after work with Bela & swimming - little pool fun for her. Feeling the clothes becoming baggier - good sign. Tomorrow will weigh @ Gym.

3 Weeks till August 31st! Feeling Good! NAT

Congrats on all of your success so far! And I agree....as much as I want to workout on the elyptical machine....it's freakin' hard!! I don't know how these people next to me are on there bookin' it for about an hour--I did .75 of a mile the other day and was wiped out!
